KFC — Restaurant in Poplar Bluff

It’s been years since we last ordered from KFC, and it’ll likely be even longer before we return. Despite heavy promotion of their $7.00 fill-up boxes, ordering one at the counter was a hassle. The employee initially claimed some items were online-only, which I was fine with, and I started to place the order via the app. Miraculously, she then managed to process it at the counter.

My friend ordered the 8-piece bucket, advertised at $10.00 (regularly $20.99). The pieces were disappointingly small—barely larger than a Cornish hen—with five legs and three thighs. His large macaroni and cheese was bland, reminiscent of hospital food. My three chicken tenders were mostly breading, and the coleslaw, once sweet and distinctive, now tasted like generic Reser’s. The $1.19 biscuits were tiny, barely bigger than the canned ones used for monkey bread. The strawberry poppers were equally flavorless. I know ppl are sensitive these days but im finding it harder and harder to keep my reviews in line with what is acceptable without hurting anyones feelings. So instead i would like to refer you to a stand up comedian the late Charlie Murphy R.I.P And his “High Functioning R**D Meeting at the Grill” bit go ahead look it up have a laugh and know whats up. And if this is too much or too far then change your store hours (the sign on the door) if youre going to have your doors locked everyday at 8:30 pm but clearly says 10 am to 10 pm everyday of the week instead of causing the inconvenience for those who order ahead and park in the designated mobile order pick up spots only to be locked out and have to get back in the car get in the drive thru line and wait for everyone else who did not order ahead. I don't if I have the verbal ability it would require to express properly and fully how wonderful and amazing the staff and employees are here and how much I appreciate the experience of my visit to the restaurant. If you ever in your life enjoyed the taste of chicken and wanted to be around good, decent, pleasant, understand and helpful people who make you feel better about the world as a whole then this is the best meal and dining experience you're going to possibly have and probably going to remember it fondly for a long time.
