4āļø We wanted to try a new spot and Shibam Yemeni Kitchen was the choice tonight! And It was an amazing choice! I ordered online for takeout. When I went to pickup the food the woman working said she tried calling me to tell me they didnāt have the soup, or kefta kebab (both of the things my husband wantedš). So I ended up getting the Biryani Chicken and 2 pieces of bread. My husband ended up getting the Chicken Kabob and hummus. We had to sit down and wait, and the woman told us we could get some of the tea they had. It was Adeni tea. Man that tea was so good! They are remodeling the restaurant, and she was telling us what they plan on doing. I took some pictures while we waited since no one was there. We got our food and came home to eat⦠EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING!!! Iām not sure if the portions are normally this big, we probably couldāve gotten one meal to share between 3 people 𤣠Now weāll have leftovers for days. Everything was fresh, and amazing! We will definitely be returning to dine in once they finish the inside of the restaurant (she said it will probably be finished in about a week). It was so worth it, it will probably be closer to 5āļø when we go dine in. I highly recommend to everyone! Update: So weāve tried this place about 3-4 times now. My husband loves it⦠but honestly every single time weāve come here they donāt have what my husband wants. And Iāll order the food online, and when I get here they tell me that they donāt have it, and ask what else I would like. Itās kind of them to substitute, and then offer things on the house. But I think they should change their menu to reflect what they do actually have. The woman working was saying they need to update google, but the menu inside has the same things. I like the food a lot, but thatās a little frustrating that itās happened each time weāve tried them. I still recommend them but I do recommend calling to see what they actually have...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLast night my husband, one daughter, and son in law tried this hidden gem for the first time. Ashton Wray loved it! Food was simply amazing. Since we had several folks there, we had the opportunity to try a number of dishes. The salads were fresh and refreshing, with a spritz of lemon. The hummus and baba ghanoush were creamy and delicious. We also tried the soup, which was flavorful and filling. We enjoyed both lamb and chicken dishes which had an amazing blend of spices and seasonings. Spices are not hot, they are subtle and flavorful. The rice that came with the meats were wonderful. They had several condiment style sauces they brought with the dips. And the bread and lemonade mint tea were amazing. I believe our serverās name was Fatima, and she was a delight and really made the evening enjoyable. Also had an opportunity to chat with the owner, Faiz, who has done an outstanding job with the place. We will definitely be back. āFor anyone who is not familiar with middle eastern cuisine, I promise, you cannot find a better place to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreA big NO NO, Run away, this place is extremely expensive with very small potion, it's not worth it what so ever. It's not even close to the pictures. Me and my buddy ordered the family plater, they put little bit of rice with only 4 small tiny pieces of meet. Trust me an infant will not get full from that. It comes with nothing, no sahawiq sauce, no hummus, no soup, no bread, nothing at all. We had to order an additional grilled chicken, and both still not full from the ridiculous small potions. Coming to the surprise that the bill was $145, the family plater is $60 per the menu, so a grilled chicken is $85, what the heck. Money is not an issue to me, but these prices is way outrageous. Besides the guy behind the counter was very rude, the service was beyond ridiculous. We ordered the food 30 min earlier, but still took them an additional 35 min to serve us. I'm so done with this place, shame on you guys. I would not recommend this place to my...
