Been visiting Kristy Kreme for more than 50 years, and FIRST negative experience at the Newport News, Jefferson Blvd location. First, they were OUT of glazed donuts! Really??? Thatās like Chick-Fil-A being out of chicken. But hey, things happen, I get it. But the service was deplorable. Three employees in the front. One was back and forth to a table in the restaurant eating her bfast. Another was on his phone , and the other was rude and beyond non-communicative acting like I was a trouble-maker when I asked for a receiptā¦which they couldnāt produce. Again, machine down??, no receipt paper?!ā¦again, I get it, things happen but just let me know whatās going on. She told me her manager would get it, and started to walk away. I called to her asking what that meantā¦that āthe manager would get itā. I asked if the manager was there, or on her way, and how long would it take (it was now 8:20a and I had a 8a pickup). She said, āYes, sheās here. Didnāt you just see her??ā As if Iām supposed to know who the hell the manager is?? I asked to see the manager and she did come out to speak w me. She was kind and understanding and graciously compād my entire orderā¦which I was not expecting, but did appreciate. I left with two-thirds of my online orderā¦bc also, they ran out of coffee!!! Ā Ā Ā Read moreI approach counter, and right away was asked what I needed. Nice prompt and friendly. Now the cashier was another story. No greeting, just looks at me while having a conversation with another worker. I give the cashier a coupon and they tell me the total and goes back to talking to coworker. The total on the card reader did not have the coupon applied, so I tell the cashier that the total is not correct. The cashier keeps on with conversation with coworker. So I just stand there untill she decides to give me her attention. Then she hits a button on the register and calls out the total again. Now the card reader shows correct amount and I confirm by saying, that's what I was waiting for, the coupon had not been deducted.
She still continues conversation with coworker while I swipe card. Next she hands me receipt. Ok, and now, wait for it........ no thanks for coming in, thanks for your business, come back and see us...... nothing.
Big surprise at this point. So guess what? They get one star for customer service. The prompt service was completely wiped out by the cashier that was distracted/ just too self absorbed in her conversation with a co-worker to take just a moment to actually pay attention to what was happening on the...

Today I came in at 9am to get my FREE original donut and small coffee.The guy(or lady...couldn't tell by the voice)taking my order said there would be a 4-5 minute wait on DECAF and was that okay. I said yes I'll wait, and proceeded to the window. Get to the window, lady scans my app, and then tells me she just found out that my coffee is DECAF and said it will be 20-25 minutes for the machine to heat up. I asked if I she could sub another donut, but she said no, and tried to give me a coke(CAN'T HAVE CAFFEINE or DRINK SODAS). At this point I feel like she's just being an @$$, because I'm sure the donut cost less than the soda she offered. When I said I'd wait, she looked at me as if I spoke a foreign language! I live approx 6 mins from this KK, but I swear I will travel 15 minutes out of my way to the one in Hampton before going back...
