Marble Slab Creamery — Restaurant in Port Arthur

Wow very delicious! Marble Slab Creamery offers a very unique experience when it comes to ice cream. They have many options when it comes to picking how you want it your ice cream; waffle cone or in a cup with waffle cone or without it. You can choose as many toppings as you want and they have a lot of unique flavours to choose from that you can't find on a common ice cream shop. The staff is very friendly and also very talented. My recommendation in order to justify my rating is to go for their speciality, don't go for a common flavour or a banana split, pick a exotic flavour and make sure to pick it on a dipped cone with your favourite toppings and some drizzle in order to have the person making the ice cream put the ice cream on a frozen table and mix in the drizzle and the toppings with the ice cream, which is the special Marble Slab Creamery experience, to have your favourite ice cream mixed with your favourite toppings in order to create a NEW unique flavour with their tasty ice cream. I am glad our friend recommended this to us in our small vacation we took to texas....

We just had ice cream at 7pm. As always the actual ice cream is very good. However, the store itself is pretty gross. There were 3 ladies working at apparently that was not enough because the store was so dirty. The tables were not being cleaned between any costumers but more than that it didn’t look like the store has been cleaned well for a long time. From the moment you walk up to the store you can see filthy glass, the welcome mat is disgusting, the ice cream is over flowing the serving tubs in the ice cream cases which is a big no no. The servers were patient with us and let us take our time ordering. However, looking behind the counter I could see that their working space was just as filthy and one server was wearing flip flops. I really hate to see this because we really love the product. It has pretty much been like this for years and it is the reason I only visit the store twice a year. I keep hoping one day I’ll go and they we get it together but is is only...

Was a huge disappointment. Could not understand the workers, they were very unclear on the information of what you could get, and felt like they should just leave the container of ice cream with the bug in it in the display case. Menu states ice cream comes with a rolled waffle cone and unlimited toppings. Then you choose your size and if you want dipped cone or dipped waffle bowl it is extra. When my son told them what toppings he wanted in it they then stated he could only have 5. He had already got 5 add ins but wanted cherries on top, but they would not.They put mine in a bowl, no one else wanted their waffle cone, but I did. I asked them about it coming with a waffle cone. They said no they put in cardboard container bowl so I couldn't get cone. Will not be back to this...
