Doornbos Heritage Park — Attraction in Nederland

This is one of the most tranquil Parks I have found everyone can go there and find something to do it is always a pleasure to go there I'm bringing my dog there often and walk I love to watch the children in the family is having a great time it is peaceful late in the evening as the sun goes down there is a duck's that are very people playing late and they run up to you if you come with a bag cuz they know they're going to get fed also there is fishing in for all ages . Approximately 10 days ago they put rainbow trout in. I found out also that when it rains that is supposed to be the best time to catch bass. I seen some big bass being caught out of there by a man and his son. Children seem to love the playground hey y'all so have a baseball field cuz I have seen people playing soccer and basketball I have never had a problem since I have been going out there which has been probably for the past 10 years I love this park and hope to see more people come & enjoy all of the activites. i want it to see this park flourish because this is a true...

Pretty park. The ducks and the little pond is nice. We would go walking here in the mornings. If it rained though not a good choice for exercise. Lots of low laying areas with standing water. Still it was nice. The tennis courts are a little run down, but still able to play on them. These things can be over looked. The maintenance staff is pretty aware of the people using the walking path and equipment. They do a good job with maintaining the grounds. This park would have totally received fives stars if the restrooms were kept in better order. Several times the restroom were either not opened at the advertised times or they were dirty and had no toilet paper. I do understand that they are park restrooms but many times there would be used toilet paper( when there was some) on the floor. Other than that it is...

Doornbos Park Swimming Pool: PATHETIC.

I paid 4 dollars for myself and 4 dollars for my son (both of us Nederland residents) to gain admission to the pool.

We were there for TEN minutes and I realized that I had left my sunglasses in my car (parked in the lot RIGHT DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE ENTRANCE) and could hardly keep my eyes open because of how bright it was.

I needed to just go to my car to get my sunglasses out and was informed that I would have to pay 3 dollars a piece for re-admission. KEEP IN MIND THE GIRL COULD SEE MY CAR FROM WHERE SHE WAS SITTING.

That is DEPLORABLE.

Maybe all the money you scam out of residents could be better put to fixing your pool and equipment. Your slide hasn't been in service ALL SUMMER LONG.
