Tuscany Italian Restaurant — Restaurant in Port Arthur

I’ve eaten at this place regularly for over 5 years now. I’ve always been pleased with the atmosphere, the service, and the food. Until now. I ordered an appetizer, 4 entrees, cake, and alfredo sauce. I live 45 mins away from this location, but when I pass through, I have liked to stop through. I ordered to go, so I let the lady over the phone know I needed the food to be double checked. Got to the location, and she opened all the bags and read off what everything was. There was the right amount containers and the lady said the right order, so I took off to my home. Got home and we had cake, and salad for our meals, but no alfredo sauce, appetizer, or our entrees. Everything but the cake and salads were wrong. We called because it was getting late, and they said they could not help us that night because it was late and they were not driving to get us food. Weki also were refused a refund to avoid this process. We were able to come back and they make our food again to make it right, but it was another extra trip 45mins away to make it happen. We ended up ordering at another local Italian restaurant to be able to have food that night. So paid double for dinner. When we picked up food, the person did not give the courtesy of going through the order and making sure we were happy with what we had. They gave us the smallest container of Alfredo sauce, and it tasted burnt (like they scraped the pan to make it happen). The order was ‘ok’, but with lack of customer service and the frustration of going back and forth to get decent food; was too much of a headache and inconvenience to ever choose to go back for a meal.

I understand mistakes happen (kitchen staff mislabeled tickets with bags of food). But for customer service sake, you pull out all the stops and give me a piece of cake, some salads, something extra when you know you screwed up and we have to drive as much as we...

I have been in the mood for Italian food for quite sometime. I tried takeout from a place in Beaumont and it was not good. My desire for Italian food still weighed heavily on my heart, so I decided to google Italian restaurants near me. It was 8:30 P.M. and the restaurant closed at 10:00 P.M. I also had a 20+++ minute drive ahead of me because I live in a different city. When I arrived, the ambiance was great, the hospitality was great, the service was great, but the food.......THE FOOD WAS OUT OF THIS WORLD DELICIOUS!!!!!! This establishment is family owned and operated. You can taste the love in the food. The fresh ingredients are incomparable to the other Italian eateries. You all have to give them a try. Tuscany Italian is the best I have been to in this area. I have definitely gotten a little taste of Italy. I am so sorry I don't have a picture to post. I have a good reason. It is because I had devoured my food even before I could think about taking the picture. Please do yourself a favor and go to Tuscany Italian Restaurant, you will not be disappointed. My last visit was Sat June 25, 2016 and it was delicious.Great place! Great experience! Clean place including the floors. (We didn't even have to wipe off the seats before sitting down and it was a booth) Waitress was great! Food was great! Food is great everytime i eat here! THE FOOD IS ALWAYS STEAMING HOT EVERY TIME I EAT HERE which is very important to me/us. ( unlike a lot of those restaurants down the street on Hwy 69 and even Papadeauxs has served me and my party lukewarm food one TOO many times). I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone in the area and those visiting the area.
