I ordered 2 grinders(one roast beef trio, and one pizza with EXTRA PEPPERONI'S), a medium 1 topping pizza, and an order of garlic cheese bread. I also added a side of marinara sauce after we got the order when I realized the bread didn't come with one. Which cost about 50 bucks total. To be fair, we all liked the garlic bread, and my wife loved her grinder(the roast beef trio)which she said had a ton of meat on it and was very tasty. Which comes to my problem, I also wanted a lot of meat in my pizza grinder, so I ordered it with extra pepperoni (knowing it cost more)hoping for a substantial grinder as well, but what I got was a thin layer of sauce, a little bit of mozzarella, and one layer of pepperoni barely over lapping to just barely cover the grinder. If that is what the extra charge for EXTRA PEPPERONI'S means, it makes me wonder if the normal order would have gaps throughout and not even have a single pepperoni on some bites. My guess is they did not add any extra but just charged me for it. The pizza was ok, nothing bad tasting, but also nothing to make you think it is an above average pizza, and for more then 12 bucks for a single 1 topping medium,it's hard to justify the price as it will only almost fit on a standard paper plate. (to give you size comparison) I would recommend the roast beef trio as per my wife's experience, and the garlic bread, but if you want a dipping sauce it will cost you another 50 cents, which isn't bad,but just wish it came with one. If you want to get a pizza, it's good/ok, just not great for the size/price ratio. But I would say, skip the pizza grinder, it's basically bread with minimal sauce, cheese, and even with paying for EXTRA PEPPERONI'S, it will barely cover the grinder and you will be left disappointed. *Edit/update...obviously I haven't been back for 9 months, But Google wants me to re-review my last comment. I was gonna praise the restaurant because they responded to me saying they would remake my (paid for extra pep) pepperoni pizza sub, although they said it's hard to tell if it was made wrong without seeing it(that's why I uploaded the pictures) so I'd say customer response at least on bad reviews is good even though I never went back for the FIX. The reason I didn't was because if they had to fix something like that, they probably would do it better just to please you, and then fall back to normal ways if you ordered again. The reason I say that is because going through reviews, most are the same. Within the past year, there are too many mistakes, or lack of quality that had responses saying they would fix it. There shouldn't be that many fixes if you just got it correct to begin with. I'd love to go back, but if this is the trend where they have more 1 star then 5 star reviews within a year. They might want to try and change things up.

I am from Sarnia, and I almost religiously get a Mancino club every time I find myself visiting the USA. The portion is extremely generous and the fresh baked bread is amazing. The guys/gals behind the counter are always friendly. I was returning from a flight in Detroit and they even waited for about 20 mins after they closed for me to pick up my order on a Sunday! I tipped well because I had to have my Mancino's club 👊 (I bought 3). The atmosphere is dated but I don't really care it's a pizza joint. Mancino's is definitely a local treasure, an institution. If they made T-shirts I would buy one.

I ordered a xl pepperoni pizza with black and green olives. My coupon came with a free Italian sub which I ordered WITHOUT tomatoes and onions! They COMPLETELY disregarded my order and now I'm stuck at work with food I can't eat! Their line is busy so I can't be compensated! I'll never eat there again! Those kids in there don't care about customer service!

Follow up review: Mancino's management responded to my earlier review with a commitment to address the workforce management issue I raised. I am happy to report that they were successful and I have gone back, every Friday night since then to receive great food and stellar customer service. Kudos to this restauranteur!

Earlier review: We ordered pizza and Greek salad. The pizza was excellent but the salad was less than average. Won't order salad again; we will order pizza but only when we have the time to drive up and order at the counter: on food alone, this review would have merited 4 stars however service was terrible. Completely understand that this place would be busy on a Friday night, so the customers' expectations are that the owner/manager would staff appropriately. That however, is not the case. They close at 9 PM so I started calling at 8 PM. Initially I their fax answered and on following attempts I got their phone system's setup message ("enter your code to proceed"). Tried every 5 minutes till 8:30 PM and then drove in to place the order at the restaurant. There were 2 adult women and a young man, he appeared to be high school age, behind the counter. Lots of bickering and yelling was going on between the three of them. After I placed my order with the young man, I asked him about the phone issue. He was forthcoming and stated that they get way too many calls 3 employees can handle so they switch the phone system and only take occasional orders (perhaps so management doesn't catch on?). This young man's honesty got this place an extra star; two instead of one. I sure hope this post catches the proprietor's attention and they augment staffing...

Been going to Mancino's for sometime and they definitely have great food, however, after yesterday when I went to pick up our pizzas and seeing what I saw it is going to be very difficult to return. First, I had trouble getting through on the phone, so I just thought it was because they we so busy. Sadly though when I got there for my pickup I saw what the problem was. I don't know what her name was but she was awful. Attitude from HELL!! A call came in and she placed the customer on hold and then threw the phone across the counter. A customer came in for his pickup and she threw his food on the counter and it almost hit the floor, with no apology she just turned an walked away. He turned to me and said that if the food weren't so good he wouldn't come back either. Another lady came in and said she was having trouble ordering food by telephone, she didn't treat her any better. If you don't like your job then you really shouldn't be there, especially when you are dealing with the public. And I would also say to the owners, nothing can hurt a business more then to have people like that working your...
