Fort Gratiot Dairy Queen — Restaurant in Fort Gratiot Charter Township

Dairy Queen has always been a place we would frequent when I was a child. More back then than now, but it pretty much has that same feeling to me. I had been craving just a simple cherry dipped cone for the longest time, and just had to pay a visit to this same location. When we got there, there was virtually no waiting for our order to go through. I got a large vanilla cherry dipped cone, and my Mom had the same, but it was chocolate dipped instead. I was really surprised more by the price than how good it was. I mean the taste was excellent, but it was really a good price for what you get for your money. I did get this late in the year, but I will definitely visit this location more next year than I did this year. Thanks again DQ for re-invigorating the great memories of when I was a small kid. It's just ok. You can use the specials in the app but you can't use the app to gain reward points. They also yell at you if you don't tell them ahead of time that you want to use the app coupon. With that being said, the ice cream treats are usually made correctly. It's not very clean inside in the eating area nor behind the counter. They are average in reference to prep time. I have to say, most of the time the staff just seems generally annoyed by everything from my order to even my presence. They just aren't a pleasant bunch. I'm not saying they are mean, just not pleasant. Its not bad for a DQ fix but I recommend the Milkhouse on Keewahdin Rd personally for good ice cream and great service...

Due to this Dairy Queen having brand new registers with no training and being understaffed horribly training every other week because they have to get new people because the amount of customers they get and Icecream they have to make within a short period of time is very stressful for high schoolers,I understand why it can take awhile in line,I also understand not everyone knows that they want from here so they take awhile at the speaker to chose makingthe line wait longer,the food is always made completely fresh!:) chicken strips alone can take about 4 minutes to make waiting time and they can only pull so many people ahead,I'm sure they are trying their best and appreciate all the patient and decent...
