Josephine’s in Port Isabel is an absolute gem and the perfect stop before heading across the bridge into Port Aransas! From start to finish, everything about my visit was exceptional. The food was unbelievably fresh and full of flavor—hands down some of the best I’ve had in the area. I ordered the shrimp and grits, and it was nothing short of amazing. The portion of shrimp was generous, and each one tasted fresh, while the grits were cooked to perfection—creamy, flavorful, and just the right consistency.
The service here is top-notch. Our server, Maria, was phenomenal—attentive without being overbearing and always right there when we needed something. It’s rare to find such attentive service where you never have to look around for help.
What makes this place even more unique is the atmosphere. While you wait for your table, you can browse through their charming gift shop filled with fun memorabilia pieces, which makes the time fly by. They even have a photo booth to capture memories, and on Sundays, you can enjoy live music that adds such a lively and welcoming vibe.
Josephine’s is more than just a restaurant—it’s an experience. I can’t wait to come back the next time...

From the beginning, it was clear that we were not treated with the same courtesy and warmth as other tables—she smiled and engaged positively with others but noticeably changed her demeanor when interacting with us. We only requested a few basic things: reminders about our order and refills, yet were met with visible frustration. It was meant to be a special birthday breakfast, but the negative atmosphere overshadowed the occasion. While the food was decent, it didn’t justify the $200 bill for what was essentially pancakes and eggs. We addressed our concerns with Ofelia, but her response was minimal and lacked resolution. We hope the management takes this feedback seriously, as service plays a crucial role in the overall...
Read moreFirst time visiting Saturday 4/26/26 @12pm. Benita was our waitress, there was some confusion with the language barrier and our coffee order but we managed. She took our order, the food arrived and it look good. The shrimp omelette, migas a la Mexicana, waffle and pecan pancake were good along with the mocha latte and cappuccino. The syrup was very light, almost as if it had been watered down even after swapping it out. The blackened shrimp Benedict was very bland and sad. The shrimp were not blackened and there was no flavor. The hash browns had a weird after taste from whatever they were cooked in. Our waitress disappeared towards the end of our meal. A young man came by to check on us and finally our waitress returned with our check. This was not a good visit and I don't believe we...
