My wife and I have been wanting to stop in and try this place for awhile. Last night was our first and last time visiting Mulligan's. First off we went in and sat at the only booth available and it was filthy, we actually had to ask the waitress to clean it. The waitress started off telling us that they were short staffed, seems to be a regular occurrence reading the other reviews. We placed our order and a few minutes later a guy from the kitchen came out with food and sat it down in front of us. Fast service, problem was, it wasn't our food. So he took the plates to another table. Those people ended sending one back because it was wrong. Our food finally came and we ordered a couple more drinks. My steak was good, cooked perfectly, but my wife's seafood platter was terrible. Fish under cooked and shrimp over cooked, actually took it home and fed it to the dog. after 20 minutes of waiting for our drinks I actually had to go up to the bar to get them. Would have actually ordered more drinks if they would have had better service. So they waitress brings the check, it was $48. I didn't complain about anything I just gave here my credit card. A few minutes later the bartender brought me the receipt to sign and it was for $29. I told the bartender that something was wrong and that our bill should be $48. Somehow the waitress charged my card out for someone else's bill, and charged that customer for my bill. Good for me I saved $20, while the other customer was overcharged $20. Advice to Mulligan's ownership, Train Your Staff! Terrible first impression, we...
Read moreI live in the area and frequently drive by. I decided to try it out today. I walked in the door and no one said a word. There were two ladies sitting at a booth and one kept looking at me but didn't say anything. I looked and noticed she had on an employee shirt. I said "oh hello. It's my first time here." She said "ok?" Then I saw a sign that said 'seat yourself.' So reluctantly, I did. She came over to me, didn't say anything and just handed me the menu and walked away. She came back about 2 mins later and asked for my drink order. I told her half and half tea and lemonade. As she walked away I asked her name. She said "Deb" and continued walking. She brought back a sweet tea. I took a sip just to confirm and it was just sweet tea, no lemonade. I said "I'm sorry, I wanted it mixed with lemonade." She said "I did mix it!" I said "Ok, may i have it mixed with a little more lemonade?" She got louder and said "I told you I did! I mixed it!" At that point I didn't trust her to make me another drink and definitely not to handle my food. I told her, "I don't like how you've treated me since I walked in the door, so I'm leaving." She didn't apologize and didn't seem to care and simply said "well, ok. I mixed the drink." NEVER again will I go there. Deb needs a new job because she makes the whole business look bad! I gave it 2 stars and not 1 because the menu had good variety. I can't tell you how it taste because Ms. Rudeness ruined it for me. As a local business owner myself, I was disappointed at the service I received in my...
Read moreMy wife and I have always said we need to go there and we finally did! Very nice rustic eatery with the Irish decor located next to the thrift store at the Big Lots plaza. I always have the waitress ( who was very friendly and helpful) feed me when I go to a new spot and she ordered me the spicy chicken wrap and onion rings. My wife ordered their open faced roast beef sandwich with fries and smothered in their brown gravy. The food was on point. You can tell when an oil used for frying is old but theirs must have been fresh out of the bottle because all of our fried items were pristine and beautifully cooked. The wrap was perfect with a great spice and seasoned flavor and the sauce she brought us for the rings was delicious. A peppered ranch dip with some extra flavors and it was a great match to the rings. My wife's sandwich was delicious as well as she let me try it. The gravy wasn't too salty so it made me think it was an in house make instead of a bottle and it was great! Two lunch entrees and two drinks for 23 so the price was right. Just a great atmosphere. People talking about the college games on the TV and just a nice vibe to the place. A definite return trip for us and a must do food stop while you are in...
