YuMi Sushi Port Orange — Restaurant in Port Orange

My new favorite sushi restaurant! I've eaten sushi all over the U.S. and a few other countries, including multiple cities in Japan. This is as good as it gets and the price was more than fair for the quality of the sushi. This is top shelf sushi, I'm so happy that it's close to home! We had the Shumai appetizer which lasted about a minute maybe, I could eat like 50 of those dumplings and drink the dipping sauce like a broth, amazing! For rolls, we ordered four different rolls, the Rolles Royce, the Dragon, the Poke Nut Crunch, and the Islander. We ate every bit of every roll and they were all amazing. The freshness and quality in every ingredient really stands out as well as the presentation and skill used in creating these rolls. This is not your average sushi place that we've all grown accustomed to. This is that place that you can't wait to tell your friends and co-workers about. This is the place that you'll wish you would've tried before the word got out and now you have to wait for a table. The service is top notch and the place is clean and neat. From the moment I walked in, the energy of the place was on point—neon lights, chill ambiance, and a welcoming feel. The sushi? Delicious. Fresh, flavorful, and plated like a work of art. Every roll had that perfect balance of texture and taste, and the spicy Yu-mi sauce drizzle added just the right kick.

Pairing it with the apple-flavored soju was a smooth move—refreshing and light, it tied the whole meal together.

Shoutout to Alissa, who was hands-down one of the best servers I’ve had. Super attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely made the whole experience feel personal, And respect to the sushi chefs—the attention to detail and quality was next level. You can tell they take serious pride in their craft.

I normally let my husband leave a review for the great experience we had in a restaurant but I have to say, this is the best sushi I ever had. If you are looking for a legit sushi, you should come try this place. It exceeded my expectation. I like that their sushi is not loaded with rice. It’s light and flavorful! We had Rolles Royce(the lemon part is surprisingly good), Poke Nut Crunch (we’re blown away, for only $14 is a steal!), Dragon roll ( perfect) and The Islander (so so fresh!). $11-15 only for great quality sushi!
