This is going to be as honest of a review you can have. I've worked in the restaurant industry for over 14 years. Although I no longer work in restaurants I know that any main busy night for a restaurant comes down to proper preparation. I am a local. I ordered here for uber eats before and couldn't believe how great the food was. I've eaten at plenty of Mexican restaurants around and this one sparked my interest.

My mom came from Pennsylvania for Cinco de mayo and we decided to bring her here. I knew it be busy and was as patient as I can be. But 40min had passed with no food. You'd think for Cinco de mayo they'd be prepared for a busy day. When I worked new years or anything crazy. The kitchen would be prepared.. unfortunately after waiting 45min I walked out with my wife and mom.

I informed the host we were leaving out of respect. Her response was what table were you sitting at?

No I'm so sorry sir. I'd like to apologize for the delay. Please give me 2min to see where your food is. Her ligit response was where were you sitting. She then turned to the manager who then looked at me in the eyes and put her head down. I then walked out.

In my 16 years in the restaurant industry or food service. I've walked out 3x. This was my 3rd time.

I want you to know I have tried their food and it was great. They probably deserve more then what their rated. But unfortunately they need to learn certain situations and how to accommodate busy days.

If you've gotten this far in review. Don't go here on a busy day. Go...

EDIT 9/13/22 We used to love it here. It's really gone downhill for the last year or two. Don't get me wrong, some of the original people are still there and are as fantastic as ever. We've been coming here since 2013. When new management took over a year or two (maybe even 2.5 years...?) ago, things started to decline. The quality became less than fresh, the nickel and diming was appalling, and the staff (most of the great ones left and went to the LPGA location) mostly seem indifferent. Tonight was the final straw. Taco Tuesday, I ordered three tacos. The TT tacos come with cheese, lettuce, and meat. I asked for no lettuce but did want onions. I was offered this option...no mention of a price difference. I get the bill...$3.75 for my tacos and $2.97 for adding onions. How do THREE tacos cost only $0.78 more than probably one quarter of an onion????? What irked me so much is that I was NOT told this up front, otherwise I would have definitely opted out of the onions. When I paid our bill (still tipping more than 20%, btw) I mentioned to the server that it would be helpful to let people know this ahead of time, she said "sometimes I mention it up-front, it just depends". Depends on......what?.....I have no idea, that answer left me speechless. Her service throughout was very good, that's why I tipped what I did. Her response, along with the cost of adding onions, though, has finally solidified the decision to NEVER EVER go here, nor recommend, this...

Worst customer service I have ever had. I ordered a simple take-out order over the phone. It was only a large cheese dip and two bags of chips. However, the employee messed up the order and charged me double what I asked for. When I came to pick up my order, I noticed the price was much higher than I expected. I wanted it corrected, but the employee proceeded to blame me for the discrepancy. I said that no it was not my fault, but she would not give it up. She "fixed" the order, and I paid. But it was still wrong, and she forgot to add the bag of chips. I had to pay again. She blamed me the entire time. She took no responsibility at all. An employee should never blame the customer for their own inadequacies. It certainly wasn't a complicated order. I understand that mistakes happen, and I would have had no issue if it wasn't for the employee's demeanor and way of handling the issue. When I opened my order at home, I realized the cheese dip container was only filled 2/3 of the way, so they shorted me. All in all, never returning. Considering the amount of Mexican food my family eats and number of parties we host, the restaurant just lost a lot...

Taco Tuesday is best with choice of shredded chicken or ground beef hard 🌮. House margaritas 2-4-1 frozen or on rocks, sugar or salt on rim. Redecorated since Covid shut down, front of house clean, service good but many wait staff do not speak much English so that can be a challenge if you're wanting something specific. Quality of food good, quanity abundant, except for Salsa and chips, they tend to only freely give one small bowl with chips otherwise $3 more. Overall one of my frequent go to Mexican restaurants near me.

Good food, good drinks. I enjoyed my time there for my time there. My Canadian palate aren't used to mexican food so this was very new too me. Wrapping whatever you have on your late into a soft-shell taco was new to me. I recommend coming with someone who has been here before because the menu isn't very self-explanatory and beginner-friendly. Note: it was very crowded in April, 2021. I had one Moderna shot inside me so I wasn't too concerned, but the restaurant was quite well-packed with almost no empty tables.

My all time favorite local Mexican spot. Chips & salsa on the table before you can even sit. All of the servers are so sweet and attentive. Make sure you get a jumbo marg! (Pictured is a regular Jalisco) Tons of options & cheap strong pitchers. The fresh guac is worth every penny and the salsas quesadilla is amazing every time. Don’t bother with anyone else, I’ve tried them all. Go straight to Salsas!
