We were very impressed with the food here. Ordered a meat lovers XL pizza, some knots and canoli.
Pizza was loaded with toppings but not greasy which indicates proper cooking and quality meat. The toppings were cooked perfectly. Prefer toppings to not be soggy or under cooked and they nailed that. While the pizza had a plethora of meats on there you could taste every single one of them as well as the cheese, sauce and crust. They didn't skimp on anything and even had a giant, well flowing jar of Parmesan on the table.
Crust was perfectly cooked. Tiny bit of a crunch on the outside while still be soft and chewy on the inside. Good flavor, not too thick but thick enough to support the pie. Sauce was excellent, tastes home made and really tied in the crust and cheese.
The canoli was quite good as well. Little chocolate chips in there were a nice touch. Crunchy, creamy and yummy. Would get again.
The garlic knots were huge, had tons of garlic and were soft and delicious.
We've tried Anthony's Coal Fired, Big apple, Girodanos, Carmellos etc etc and tons of the other mom and pop shops. Average at best.
Slice of Heaven is better than all of them. They have a wide menu to choose from and while we didn't get to try anything else we will be back and wouldn't hesitate to order anything there.
The service was exceptional. The waiter did a great job of keeping our drinks full and bringing us the food hot and ready.
The owners were there chit chatting with the customers and having a good time. The overall atmosphere was welcoming and warm. Seem like really nice people...
Read moreMy family and myself have ordered food from here often (very often), yesterday was the first time I EVER went inside and sat down and ate with my kids and mother. I will NEVER spend a penny with this place again, I felt so disrespected and Un welcomed. First off the man came to our table and said “ What are you going to get” We placed our order and he replied “Something to drink?” my mother replied with “I would just like a cold glass of water please”. He than walked away (never asked if myself or my kids wanted something to drink) I let Quite a few minutes Pass before I walked up to the counter and said “Can I please order some drinks” the mans reply “What do you want?!” Right away I felt the disrespect but I didn’t say anything I politely said “ 4 waters please and a Pepsi that comes with the lunch meal”. I Walked back to our table and sat down (venting to my mom). He brings our food out and just Plops it on the table and walks away. (Never asked if he can get us anything else, or if everything was ok NOTHING). Long story short no one even ever came to see if we wanted a refill (in Which I had to go up to the counter and get myself) or to see if we needed anything for that matter. I was so disappointed leaving here yesterday. Like I said we’ve ordered so many times from here and had it delivered. After yesterday I really wish I never spent a penny here.
I really never expected this kind of hospitality from this place. My kids ask all the time “Mommy can we order slice of heaven today” and we do very often. It’s so unfortunate that my very first experience dinning in...
Read moreWe just ordered from here 3 pasta dishes. Two chicken francaise, and 1 Alfredo with Linguine. Each dish comes with a garlic knot. Garlic nots were the only thing that actually tasted good. The francaise sauce wash straight water with barely any lemon flavor and absolutely no seasoning. The water-sauce spilled out the bottom into the bag and one was also in there turned sideways. The chicken from the francaise was breaded with egg only it was basically a thick egg wash, not a batter. Felt like we were eating chicken wrapped in scrambled eggs with no seasoning. The Alfredo sauce was just thickened cream and parsley, no seasoning at all. I don’t even think they used salt and pepper. Extremely bland overall, I mixed the garlic from the garlic knots in my chicken francaise and my mom drained the water sauce out of hers and put the marinara sauce on it from the garlic knots which she proceeded to tell me was also bland with no flavor basically tomato paste. So she grabbed sauce from the pantry. NOT WORTH 50 dollars, AT ALL. Save your money and make a pasta dinner at home I guarantee if you use some garlic powder it will taste better...
