My wife and I have been here several times as it is close to the house. Today we decided to go and take my parents and sister for the Veterans Day special (dad and I are Vets) where Vets eat free. Wasn’t busy at all and we were seated at a table big enough to accommodate the 5 of us. The issues started when our server showed up. She’s an older woman who we had only previously seen seating people so I was surprised she was the server. Took down my wife’s order wrong so when everyone got their food my wife had nothing to eat because it was wrong so we had to wait for it to be made. A Buffalo chicken salad is what she ordered so the server came back saying they were working on it and just waiting for the chicken to be “grilled”. We found this odd because that type of salad comes with fried chicken strips tossed in Buffalo sauce. When we questioned it, the server replied “I asked you if you wanted grilled or fried”. This is when I got involved and told her no you asked my mom that for the salad she ordered because that one could come either way. She seemed perturbed and left to put in the right chicken order. Salad finally showed up with no Buffalo sauce at all. My wife ate it but chicken was plain, so much for the “Buffalo” part of the salad. We were waiting for quite sometime for water refills and didn’t get silverware until we asked. Overall not a good experience. The service and atmosphere was much better here shortly after they first opened but has declined sad to say. This is indicative of subpar management. I almost asked to see a manager but decided against it. My parents were there and I didn’t want to make them uncomfortable but I shouldn’t have had to anyway but no manager ever came over to mitigate the issues we had with our meal, which again is a sign of a poorly run business. We will go here again because we like the drinks and food and I’m a Duffy’s MVP member but will not sit in this server’s...
Read moreArrived at 3:20pm to watch a football game that started at 3:30pm. Waited for almost 25 minutes for a table while "hostesses" seemed confused and not sure what to do. Watched three other parties come in and get seated right away. When we asked why, were told that because there were 5 of us they needed a bigger booth. When they finally told us they were ready we were directed to a table where there were four unoccupied tables around us. Waited another 20 minutes before we even saw a waitress. She took our drink orders as well as food order. Twenty more minutes went by, still no drinks. Ten minutes later the nachos arrived ( we ordered two Slam Dunk" platters). Still no drinks. A different waitress brought the food and when we told her we didn't have drinks she left to get them. Five minutes later the original waitress brought our drinks. We told her the nachos did not look anything like the picture on the menu. There was very little meat and only a "glob" of cheese on one nacho on each platter. She took them back. We waited another 25 minutes before the manager brought the trays to us. We had asked to speak with him when she brought our drinks. The managers initial reaction was " ,It's Veterans Day and we are extremely busy" . Wouldn't you think a restaurant would be prepared for a day such as this? When the food came we had no plates, no napkins or silverware and we had to ask for those also. This was totally unacceptable. Ordering and receiving food and drinks should not take an hour and 15 minutes! They did not charge us for the platters but we still had to pay for drinks. Needless to say we will not return to this Duffys...
Read moreHands down one of the most disgusting and unprofessional restaurant experiences I’ve ever had.
I ordered a medium-well burger. What I got was basically rare. No big deal—I politely asked if they could fix it.
What happened next was absolutely unreal.
Instead of remaking the meal like any decent restaurant would, the server took only half the burger back to the kitchen… and left the other half sitting in the basket with my wife’s discarded chicken wing bones. At that point, I figured they were just throwing it away.
Nope.
A few minutes later, the cook walked out and grabbed the second half—straight from the used basket with bones and trash in it—clearly intending to finish cooking it and serve it back to me.
Let that sink in: they were about to serve me food pulled from a basket full of garbage.
When it came back, it was only half the burger, same soggy bun, same cold onion rings, just lazily reheated. It looked like something scraped together in the back after a lunch rush.
Meanwhile, my wife had already finished her food, and I was still sitting there hungry, waiting on a burger I couldn’t eat.
We asked to speak to the manager and explained why we felt the meal should be comped. His response? "Why is that?"
Seriously?
Serving undercooked meat, handling food unsafely, and reheating food from a trash-littered basket isn’t just disgusting—it’s a health code violation.
We left before they even finished “fixing” the rest. There was no chance I was eating anything else from that kitchen.
Do yourself a favor and avoid this place unless you’re into unsafe food, careless service, and microwave meals served...
