I went to this McDonald's with my 11 year old son last night & we waited in the drive thru line for more than 35 minutes. While waiting, we saw a fight in the parking lot between what looked like a father & son. My son was shaken badly as he'd never seen two people fight before. When we were the 2nd spot to the pay window, a man drove up, parked his car & was walking inside McDonald's to eat. The Drive-Thru guy, who I later learned was the Manager named Demetry, stuck his head out the drive thru window yelling "HEY PAPI, HEYYY PAPIIIII!!! We're closed!!!". So the man turned around & left. I thought how strange it was McDonald's was closing--it was barely 8:30 pm! I told my son something odd was going on with this location. Maybe they were short staffed, maybe the Manager was new, but something was definitely strange. McDonald's just doesn't close at 8:30 pm. I told him to make sure we double checked the food because I wasn't feeling too good about it. We paid Demetry & finally got up to the window & the lady handed us our food. I was looking thru one bag & she said "It's all there!". Ignoring her, I went to look thru the other bags & she again rudely says "It's all there!". I told her I was double checking our order and then I noticed how nasty the fries were. They were hard, brown, some were burnt & it was obvious they had been cooked a couple of times in the same oil. When I tried to hand the lady back the fries for fresh ones, she argued with me they were fine. I had to debate with her back & forth a few times before I firmly insisted the fries were NOT edible & I would absolutely NOT allow my son to eat them. She finally took the fries from me telling me to drive forward, park my car, & they'd bring new ones out. We hadn't even been parked 60 seconds & a man brought out a bag with fries. I opened the bag & they looked like the same exact fries we got the first time. When I tried to talk to him about it, I realized he could barely speak English & said forget it & drove home. I tried calling the Manager, Demetry, & he didn't even listen to me. I think after hearing my complaint, he just placed the phone on the counter. He wouldn't even reply....I kept saying 'Are you there?' & 'Did you hear me?'...all he would say was "I'm kinda busy here...". He never offered an apology or even acknowledged me. Annoyed & exasperated, I gave up & ended the call. Pathetic service, pathetic quality of food, pathetic staff, and pathetic management. Neither of my two sons at any of the food when we got home. I had to make them something. Most definitely the last time we will ever go to...
Read moreTitle: Terrible Drive-Thru Experience at McDonald's on Port Saint Lucie Blvd
Rating: ★☆☆☆☆
I recently had the unfortunate experience of visiting the McDonald's located on Port Saint Lucie Blvd, and I must say it was one of the worst fast food experiences I've ever had. The main issue was their deceptive practice of parking everyone in the parking lot, making them wait unnecessarily for their drive-thru orders.
It became clear to me that this McDonald's was more concerned with tricking corporate into thinking they were operating the drive-thru efficiently than actually providing good customer service. They seemed to prioritize their drive-thru metrics over the satisfaction of their customers.
On multiple occasions, I found myself parked in the parking lot for extended periods, despite the drive-thru appearing empty on the meter. It was apparent that they were purposely manipulating the system to make it seem like they were running an efficient operation.
This practice is extremely frustrating and deceptive. I, like many other customers, visit the drive-thru for its convenience and speed. However, the constant parking and waiting defeated the purpose entirely. It's unfair to mislead customers into believing they will receive quick service when, in reality, they are forced to waste their time parked in a lot.
Moreover, the waiting area was poorly managed. Staff members seemed disinterested and lacked urgency when it came to delivering orders to customers parked in the lot. It was evident that they were more focused on rushing through the drive-thru orders to maintain their efficiency metrics.
As a customer, I expect transparency and honesty from a fast-food establishment. Unfortunately, this McDonald's failed to meet those expectations. Their deceptive practice of parking everyone and manipulating drive-thru metrics for their own benefit is unacceptable. It's a clear disregard for customer satisfaction and convenience.
I would strongly advise against visiting this McDonald's on Port Saint Lucie Blvd. If you value your time and prefer a fast food experience that prioritizes customer service over deceptive practices, there are plenty of other options in the area that would be a better choice.
My hope is that this review serves as a wake-up call for this particular McDonald's location to reassess their priorities and focus on providing an honest and efficient drive-thru experience for...
Read moreI never really go to fast food burger chains, and I don't like giving bad innocuous reviews. I mean if a person goes to a place such as McDonalds to eat, they probably shouldn't expect service like they are going to a sit-down, attended restaurant. But I stopped this one time, because I was running from from one job location to the next. It was 3 in the afternoon and I didn't have time for anything else. The drive through was wrapped around the building, and the inside was virtually empty. I went to the counter, stood there for about 10 minutes, there was quite a bit of commotion over wrong things placed in wrong bags behind the counter...the one guy in front of me was waiting when I got there and still waiting when I finally ordered...his food came I am guessing after about 15 to 20 mins...I waited for another 5-10 minutes, and got my food. Went and sat down to eat, pulled my quarter pounder out of the bag and wrapper...and it looked like it was run over by a truck...I don't know how a cheeseburger can look that way, just going from the kitchen, into a bag and then 25 feet to a table...Also, it has been quite a long time since I have eaten at McDonalds, but this burger looked like the same burger that you used to get for a dollar, but now they cost $6.00+...jeez, not fast, not looking like the picture...flat as a pancake...and no ketchup dispensers in sight...I had to go back to the counter and ask for ketchup for my fries...what the hell McDonalds? For a couple dollars more, I could have went for a Sushi lunch buffet...yikes. It is what it is I guess. Lesson remembered....I give it one star because at least the fries...
