Ah, River Nights at Veterans Park in Port St. Lucie, Florida – where the St. Lucie River glimmers under the moonlight, creating the perfect backdrop for an enchanting evening. Veronica and I recently found ourselves immersed in the magical atmosphere of this hidden gem on the Treasure Coast.

The promise of Cheers, Eats, and Riverside Seats drew us in, and the event lived up to its name. As we strolled along the riverbank, the air was filled with the sounds of laughter, live music, and the gentle flow of the river. The setting sun painted the sky in hues of pink and orange, giving way to the serene beauty of the moonlit night.

Joey Calderaio took the stage, and his performance was nothing short of spectacular. The notes of his music echoed across the river, creating an ambiance that resonated with the tranquility of the surroundings. The crowd swayed to the rhythm, and we found ourselves lost in the melody, surrounded by friends and fellow enthusiasts.

What made the evening even more delightful was the availability of a cash bar and delectable bites for purchase. We grabbed a couple of drinks and indulged in some local flavors as we lounged in our riverside seats. The twinkling lights from nearby boats added to the enchantment, casting a shimmering reflection on the water.

The best part? The event was absolutely free. Yes, you read that right – free! It's not every day you come across such a fantastic gathering without breaking the bank. River Nights on the second Thursday of the month is a true gift to the community, offering a chance for everyone to come together and enjoy the simple pleasures of life.

Swampy, a local regular, couldn't have said it better – he loves him some River Nights. And after experiencing it for ourselves, we understood why. Basking in the moonlight with friends and family, surrounded by good music and even better company, it's an experience that lingers in your memory long after the night has ended.

So, if you find yourself on the Treasure Coast of Florida, mark your calendar for the second Thursday of the month. Head to Veterans Park, and let the St. Lucie River serenade you as you revel in the magic of River Nights. Cheers to free-spirited evenings, delightful tunes, and the simple joy of being by the...

Absolutely amazing! A beautiful piece of nature. Boardwalk was very serene, it is lit up at night time. There are ample restroom facilities and Pavilions available for rental. With Grill and Lighting. Boardwalk is very wide and can accommodate many people built very well with Trex decking. Great spot to go fishing and to look at nature. Although what is really depressing is the people who have no respect for nature and dump garbage into the swamps. If you look closely you can see many beautiful birds and animals and even some alligators. We've lives in Port st. Lucie for 3 years now and have never noticed this, now we want to come...

Spent hours walking the trails, watching young and old fishing. Small boats and pontoon party boats disembark and head downstream for a jaunt. Caught egrets, golden pelicans pruning their feathers high up in the branches, watched sleek silver "flying fish" jump and skim the River's waves. Caught glimpses of Cardinals; various sparrows: blue jays and 2 hungry curious squirrels following along the boardwalks. Reached the end of the walk at a "holding pond" and caught a 3-4 ft gator watching me from the water by the sign------Be ware Alligators! If uyou have an hour or so,...
