Miller's Ale House — Restaurant in Port Saint Lucie

I ordered food online for takeout and I arrived a minute before my food was supposed to be ready. Picking it up was no problem as it was ready when I arrived. My house is only about 7 minutes from this location and it seems that the food was still nice and warm when I picked it up. Other than that, everything else was severely disappointing. I order takeout from this restaurant maybe once or twice a month and am familiar with the food they serve, serving sizes, etc. I ordered fish and chips, cajun chicken pasta, and a side of onion rings. The fish was cooked okay but looked like the trimmings instead of actual pieces of fish (also the quality of the fish was very bad and very fishy), the fries were still warm but stale to the point that some of them were just hard (it seems like they either refried them or kept them under the warmer for too long), the cajun chicken pasta’s serving barely covered the bottom of the container like they only put not even a half serving in there (I have ordered this before and the difference in the amount of food was significant enough for me to notice right away when I picked up the container), the chicken in the cajun pasta was blackened but not from the seasoning, it was overcooked to the point the outside was actually black, the serving size of the chicken was so small (probably not even 4 oz of sliced chicken and mind you this dish cost $15+), and the sauces were missing from my order (tartar sauce for fish and chips and ranch for the onion rings), and even the onion rings were once again nice and warm, but stale instead of crunchy. I don’t know what happened to my order tonight as it is usually not this terrible of a quality so I am very dissatisfied and disappointed that they let food in that condition come out of the kitchen to serve to paying customers. First time here it was packed, understandably you have to wait so just found a 2 seater tall table inside bar area. Server then tells me all tables inside bar area are for people waiting to sit for meals.......Ok I went there just for drinks so then tried to order a drink at bar. Young female bartender 6 feet away from me then proceeds to make eye contact with me but its busy I get it. She's busy but not with customers....she has very important stuff going on her cell phone,texting boyfriend or maybe ticktok...complaining about people not tipping her perhaps. Well after about 3 minutes of this I just left. Plenty of other staff friendly places to go.

Another day I give them a shot. Again lots of people but not as busy as last visit. I just wanted bar. All bar area tables are full but a couple leaves their table so sit there. It had not been cleaned yet but I was fine with that...then a female busser comes up and rudly tells me and my guest we have to get up from table, she has to clean it first and then we can sit there but nowhere else to sit in bar area. So standing wait for 5 minutes, she cleans the table then again the hostess brings people from lobby to that table. We just left. Went there again month later and similar problems, nope never again. If I could give them advice it would be tell the bartenders that if they want tips they really need to actually serve people instead of leaning against inside bar area on cell phones. Cell phones don't tip.

The bartender Alex was extremely rude, He was not charismatic or invested in, making sure that the clientele that was drinking and he should have been serving and hosting with happy to any standard. Instead, he was a male judgmental, chauvinistic pig and expected that the male partner would be paying the bill. Therefore, my request were ignored until he find out that I was someone that would be tipping him and paying the $160 bill I gave him a 40 Percent tip just to show his young unexperienced self that maybe he should be more aware and more open-minded and learn how to cater correctly. I am Miller alle House regular and have never experienced such disrespect. I really wanted to call the manager over, but I decided against it because I figured what would it change this person unopened mindedness and capability to comprehend what into anything nor did I want to get anybody in trouble and lose their income because I am a caring person, but Alex really needs to step up his game. My one kid free night/date night was basically ruined thanks to his wisdomless Awareness, End of rant, Besides that the food was amazing like always the atmosphere was great like always. It was the 28 year old bartender that was pleasingly rude, and you could tell his in experience shown when he realized I was someone footing the bill not the male partner.
