Sal's Italian Ristorante — Restaurant in Port Saint Lucie

I grew up eating Sals in Palm Beach County and always loved it so I was thrilled when one was opened here. I went for lunch one day with my kids and it was great. Decided to go back about 2 weeks later for dinner with my daughter, the experience was NOT the same. It was a rainy Friday night, they weren't too busy. We sat down and ordered right away. The soup and garlic rolls arrived quickly. We were sat right next to where the take out orders are picked up so we had a doordash driving standing so close to us he might as well have sat down, ok no big deal. Then my daughter's food comes, she ordered a chicken and spinach panini didn't look like a traditional panini but didn't look bad either. She began to eat while I waited a bit longer for my food to come. I could tell she wasn't really into her sandwich so I asked her what was wrong, she said it was very bland so we asked for a side of pesto sauce, still didn't help it much. The fresh mozzarella wasn't melted and it was like a giant mound of unseasoned spinach on top of a small amount of chicken. When the server came back she asked if we wanted boxes I told her only for my food because my daughter didn't really care for hers as it was quite bland, she said no problem I'm going to have the manager come over here. She returns a few minutes later and tells us "the manager does not want to come talk to you guys' instead decided a free cannoli the size of my thumb would be appropriate. I wasn't looking to get anything for free or even to complain really but when the server told me the manager just didn't want to deal with us I was appalled. The manager, a skinny Old lady with red and black hair could be seen walking around doing absolutely nothing, the most I saw her do was converse with the doordash drivers. The worst part is that when I told the server that it was disgraceful to see a manager act like that...SHE AGREED and continued to say nobody cares for her and that she was extremely unprofessional....THIS IS COMING FROM THE STAFF OF SALS!!!! When I went to leave, the wonderful manager was sitting in the FRONT of the restaurant chatting it up on the phone and smoking a cigarette. GET IT TOGETHER SALS!!! There are many people from down south moving this way and would love to enjoy a familiar restaurant but that manager will run that place to the ground...

“Took advantage” of their buy 2 get one free pizza deal; what a joke. Ordered them in large, all 3 with extra cheese and then 2 other toppings on each. Told them to be generous on the cheese please. Was ordering for our meeting and didn’t get the price till they arrived. They’re 2 miles from our office. When the delivery driver told me $89 I about had a heart attack. I thought they must’ve forgot to give me the 3rd one for free, but nope. That’s just unbelievably outrageous and ridiculous. Then, when I opened up the boxes, expecting to see a generous portion of cheese, there was hardly any cheese on the pizza at all. 100% NOT extra cheese whatsoever. They were barely warm, the crust was soggy, and the pizzas just downright sucked. This is the biggest ripoff I’ve had in a restaurant since I can remember. If I could give zero stars, I would, they basically sold me three pieces of crap for more money than what I would’ve paid for 5 outstanding pizzas. This is really inexcusable and unacceptable, but was my fault for not asking for the price before I had them deliver it. All I can say is, I will never, ever order from them again and every single person I know I tell what a complete disaster and trainwreck this place is. They don’t deserve to even be in business. Talk about terrible customer service. I’m a vegetarian so I ordered a pasta dish without meat which I’ve done since they opened and it’s always good. So today I ordered it confirmed it with the lady taking my order no meat right? She answered no meat. So I take it home and go to eat it. It has ham in it. No problem people make mistakes. I call the restaurant to tell them what happened the lady on the phone was so rude and said I could not get the dish without meat. After telling her I’ve gotten it without meat multiple times she said well we can but not tonight because the chef that made it wasn’t there. I said well I’m on my way back so you can give me a new one with no meat.she then said again she wouldn’t remake it tonight.
