The food is fantastic! They have guitarist that sits in the corner an plays. The place is cold, presumably to entice you to their warm foods... I'm a big guy who never gets cold, and I ordered a hot chocolate there. No view of the water, or anything, even though it's part way up a hill. Hard wooden seats, tile floors, cramped tables and low metal ceiling all make for a very loud little room... we are in our early 40's and were the youngest people there by at least 2 decades, then again it is super bowl Sunday at 2pm and we arent doing super bowl this year... THE FOOD IS FANTASTIC.

If you say 'Yes' when someone asks you if you are hungry for breakfast, and you find yourself anywhere near Port Townsend, you have to go to The Cup. All day long you can get breakfast, but their location up the hill, is perfect to stop and eat. Check the specials to the right on the board when you walk in, the bacon, avocado Benedict with home fries is spot on. French toast? Yup, quite good, perfectly cooked. The coffee (they have yes for others) is perfect and deliciously not pretentious. Make sure to stop in, you won't regret it (and might need a nap afterwards)!

When we met up with friends for lunch we specified "a place that is not too noisy so we can carry on a conversation". They suggested The Cup and it was perfect. The food was very good, the server was fun and competent and we could all hear each other. We all ended up with breakfast instead of lunch, which worked our for all of us. Their special caught my wife and I, their Pane d'amore French Toast with two eggs and meat. We enjoyed it and will be back.

Totally understaffed. Our waitress was wonderful. BUT it wasn't super crowded and they never sat us--took 20 minutes to figure that out, after someone said someone else would come seat us. No one came. Another 15 before our order was taken. 40 minutes for a BLT and toast with avocado. Toast came buttered and I asked for dry. Food is standard American fare. If that's what you're in the mood for, it'll be fine. Be prepared to wait a long time.
