So, this is a Carryout Japanese Restaurant. It’s not trying to be a high-end sit down restaurant. They serve much of the same restaurant as their larger restaurant in Perrysburg, from a casual carryout in a seasonal vacation spot, that doesn’t have a consistent customer base in the winter. I for one am grateful to have the Nagoya back in the community in any format, and I will support them every time I’m in the area. And, they clearly deserve a much better rating than the bogus rating that they have of 3.9 stars on 9/29/25, from people who are pissed off that they closed their flagship store that closed due to Covid.

Food is good, but it isn’t what I remember hibachi from Nagoya tasting. It was a tragic mistake to close the original restaurant and bring it back by dividing it into two small “restaurants” with no sit down in this one and expect people to pay as if we are sitting there having shrimp flung into our mouths and some nice man is making jokes. The Sushi Room is wonderful next door and I wish you could order from them for pickup. I think business would be booming in that place.

We enjoyed the atmosphere The service was wonderful. The food was excellent. We had 2 small kids and 2 adults. The waiter was so kind and the cook made the kids a cute orange bear.

Gotta say I was pretty disappointed the first week that they opened the food was great everything was fresh as their opening progressed. However, I did go back on multiple occasions. The food quality went down exponentially my Calamari tasted like it was preheated in a Microwave. My hibachi steak dinner was cold the vegetables tasted like the frozen ones from Walmart. This is not a $30 worthy purchase for a single person yeah, the portion size is great with soup, ginger salad, Rice...that you have to pay extra for on top of your normal meal for Fried Rice but what is the point when the food just tastes mediocre. These are not the Hibachi chefs they used to employee but teens working their first job very disappointing.

UPDATE

Gave them a second chance and I am not sure what the sudden change was, but the food was fantastic! Just sad the entire situation I had to deal with. I showed up 5 minutes after it was complete and my food was "Already picked up" they proceed to call the person who picked up my food he complained and got a refund and got to keep my food..guess what I got. NOTHING I had to sit there for 15-20 min while they remade my entire meal. The second time around it also looks like they have cut down on staff and are using an actual chef as far as I can tell.

UPDATE Went back and was offered a $30 gift card for my previous experience with the meal and service food this trip was absolutely delicious the service was very quick and the employee behind the counter makes sure to ask the person's name before they pick up the order from the pickup counter to ensure you get the correct order. Very pleased with how the return trip was I can now say I recommend eating here wish pricing was slightly cheaper but you're paying the same price as the food was with entertainment. And to go above and beyond and ask for a tip on a $30 meal for a single person still kind of absurd if you ask me. Overall food was great, service was significantly...

This was the second time we ordered. The first time last summer was fresh, hot and delicious. Tonight I ordered on line, I arrived ten minutes early and was informed they had just put it on and it would be a few minutes. That took twenty minutes. Ok. I watched as one of my two dinners sat on the counter for well over ten minutes. The second dinner finally came off the grill line and was packaged up and I left. Took 6 minutes to get home and sit down to eat. My husband's shrimp dinner was room temperature. My chicken dinner was not even warm but so over cooked it was almost hard. Tough, dry and chewy and I couldn't even eat most of it. Salads and soup was good. Shrimp appetizers room temp. This meal was so...
