We made a special trip just to eat at the Tin Goose Diner! We had visited the Aviation Museum earlier in the week, but the diner was not open then. Unfortunately the diner has limited hours and is not open every day. So we came back. The service was fantastic and the good was very good! I had my doubts since it is attached to a museum. But the food quality was excellent! The food items all have either a local aviation or a military meaning. There is a brochure on the table that explains the meaning behind every item. The view outside your window (every table is a window seat) is great! You get to watch planes take off and land on the runways. Definitely not something you at every restaurant. We really enjoyed our meal and glad we made the trip back. There are many positive reviews and now I know why!

A classic and retro feel restaurant. I'll say that I've never seen such a great classic feeling place and the place is amazing sitting beside the runway of a airport. Isn't it amazing to eat food and watch the planes fly and land from the window next to you. The place was busy, which means there is a wait time to be seated and it wasn't too long probably 15min on Sunday at 10am. The waitress we got tried her best to get us what we needed in a decent bit of time. We tried the 12'O clock High Hot Cakes and the Veggie Flyover omlette. Both the items are tasty and wonderful. I also tried the Chamolie and Lavender organic tea and it is one of the best. Their prices didn't feel on the pricier side. I'll recommend this place and will visit again for sure. HiFi 5Star!

A diner made from an airplane hanger that is also a museum. If you are an airplane history, history, military, plane, Port Clinton area/Put-In-Bay buff this museum is for you. It has artifacts linking the military and development of airplanes for people transportation from Put-In-Bay to Port Clinton. It tells you how the small airport started and the exhibits change in theain hanger and then after your walk thru history have a seat in old fashioned diner booths and order a yummy meal or just coffee and dessert. It does get busy at lunch time because locals from the airport, nearby base and visitors to museum stop in. Don't let stop you though. Go anyhow and get there a little early and enjoy lunch.

I would have given this place 5 stars, as far as breakfast was concerned- it was fantastic!!! Delicious food, large portion, decent price. But there was very RUDE waitresses working this particular morning that my fiancé and I ate. They were the only two working this morning for a full lobby of people waiting. That's fine, we've both worked in the service industry. We understand being short staffed and a Sunday breakfast rush. But when we asked for simple things - hot sauce, ketchup, and where we were supposed to pay the bill.. (we waited for 20 minutes AFTER we got done eating, we were never asked if we needed anything - had to flag down a waitress for condiments- stacked all of our plates and dishes ourselves and they sat dirty on our table- never was asked how is the food or my coffee refilled)- the one waitress was downright nasty and rude to us. This is not good service. Furthermore, the younger waitress barked at my fiancé when he asked where to pay.. telling him we will get to you when we can! This is definitely bad service. People don't wait 45 minutes to eat to be treated in this manner. Please ask your staff to improve on their...

The look of the place is cool, very old timey and you can see the planes landing and taking off. The chicken fried steak wasnt bad. And that's the end of the good experience that we had. Food was pedestrian at best. The omelet tasted like fake eggs, I asked for american cheese slices and got shredded cheddar, ordered sausage gravy on the omelet and when it first came there was none and had to send it back. The potatoes were burnt and crispy, the over easy eggs that were ordered were overdone. The toast was fine, but I'm not sure how you can mess up toast anyway. The waitress was unsure of menu and told us multiple things that we asked for were not on the menu, when we were looking at it. I could tell she was new, but learning the menu should be the first step. Getting our food took awhile. This wasnt the worst of it though, the owner/manager (?) spent about 20 minutes of our time there boasting about himself AND his amounts of money he has or has had to a waitress there. VERY DISTASTEFUL. Needless to say, we will never go back there. I have no idea how they have so many great reviews.. maybe we were just extremely unlucky...

Cool place aesthetically. It gives off the vintage vibe of an old diner and the airport is very fun to watch the planes come and go. The restaurant could use some improvement from a service perspective. The people were friendly but the wait times were very long. Granted we did have a larger group but we split into 2 tables which was all good. We ordered 3 milkshakes and we got them after about 20 minutes or so. They were good when they came out but not sure what took so long. The food order was placed as we received the shakes. The time of order to time of delivery was around an hour. When it came out nothing was cold but the fries were hard. There was no communication from the waiter and he was not around often. But he was very polite. He may have been the only one working I'm not sure. All in all had there been some explanation as to what was going on it would have been a little better. Our time from being seated to getting our bill was roughly an hour and forty five minutes. I hope that whomever decides to go here has a better experience...
