Never have we ever stayed in such a disgrace of a Sleep Inn.
When we entered our room, the first thing we noticed was the stench of body odor and the mustiness. Our pillows were dirty....just plain dirty and the whole bed just looked like someone else had already been in the bed and forgot to tidy up before leaving. Even tho we brought our own LYSOL and our own sheets and blanket(just in case), we pulled back the bed. The sheets had not been changed either.
The nightstands were dirty. They needed cleaned, not just wiped off. Needless to say we did not use them either.
The TV did not work. I went to the counter and the lady changed the batteries in the remote and said " there you go". I had to go back again to tell her the TV still did not work. She came to our room and asked if we wanted to be moved but by that time, my wife had found out that all the cables/wires were unplugged from the TV and had used our own bed clothes to make the bed and BLASTED THE ROOM WITH LYSOL and didn't want to have to do it in another room. We told her at that time about the condition of the room and she told us to talk to the manager about a price adjustment in the morning.
The trash cans were filthy and had no bags.
It really bothered me that the walk in shower was also dirty. The seat for the handicapped to sit on actually had dirt on it. The floors and toilet hadn't been cleaned for what looked like years.
When we woke up we found our sign out sheet had been pushed under the door sometime thru the night. Now, tell me....How is she going to adjust our price?
When we had breakfast, we seen one of the workers clean a waffle fork with her fingers and put it back where it belonged. The same lady used a piece of plastic silverware to open a box and then put it back for someone to use. Ewww. And, there was a packet of butter that my wife had picked up from the floor and put on the counter that that same lady thru back in with the butter for the customers.
After we are packed up and ready to go, we stop and ask about our check out slip being put under the door...(of course...that's how they do things..she said)
I asked for the manager and begin telling her about all the above and after doing so she tells me. "I can't do anything about these things unless I'm told about it" Uhm...I think I just did that. But, she refused to adjust anything.
With all that being said, Sleep Inn's are usually VERY clean. The employees are usually very nice and accommodating. Don't let the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNever stay at this hotel they donāt care about their guest. We checked in and paid for two rooms, one was ADA and they were adjoining. It was around 8pm when we checked in. The front desk person was very nice but once we got to our rooms they smelled. I went to the front desk to ask if they had any air freshener and he handed me a bottle. I guess my expectation was someone would do it for us but ok I sprayed both rooms with no results. So the next morning I went to the front desk again to ask if they had anything stronger. The front desk person said let me get my supervisor. Well to say the least she was very, yes very rude and asked me what does it smell like? I said I donāt know but feel free to come smell for yourself. The response from her was no and we donāt have any other rooms available, like I said it was said with a very rude attitude. Then I noticed that the white comforter on both beds at the ends where you pull up to your head were disgusting brown with dirt! So I had to take them to the front desk and get new āfreshā ones. Then the topper to all of this was when we left at 6:00am to take my daughter to the airport so she could fly back home, we came back our rooms popped open!! I can see if they thought we left and didnāt check out but once they could see all of our things were still in the room why didnāt they close and lock our doors? Itās an hour to the airport so we were gone at least 2 1/2 hours how long were our doors open?? When I checked out I asked the person why this happened and the response was āoh Iām sorry Iāll let the staff knowā really that is all you have, like I said never stay...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAvoid this hotel at all costs! I rarely write bad reviews, but in this case, I feel strongly that you need to know just how awful this place is. Firstly, when we checked in at 1130 pm after a long day at Cedar Point, we were given a room that she had just assigned to the family ahead of us. When we got to our room, the other family was standing outside of it because it smelled so strongly of marijuana (in a non-smoking building in a state where marijuana is illegal). I went to the front desk, and the hotel employee called her manager to ask what to do next, explaining that several rooms that were showing as "vacant" in the computer were actually occupied. She ended up "cancelling reservations" for 2 families who had not yet checked in so that she could find us a room. She gave me the key card to our second room and said, "I upgraded you to a two-bedroom suite." When we got to the room, it was not a suite, but the bigger problems were the broken A/C unit and broken toilet!! So we went back to the front desk, and she cancelled another family's reservation to put us in the last available room. When we opened the door, the room had never been cleaned!! It looked like a party had taken place...complete disaster. I ended up taking my kids to a different hotel at 12:30 am after 3 failed attempts to get a room at the Sleep Inn. As we were leaving, one of the family's that had made a reservation (which she cancelled) came in to the hotel...and I'm guessing they weren't...
