This is a great visitor center. I stopped here while driving in Catawba because I thought I’d check it out. I walked in and all of the visitor center’s exhibits, which include a proofs of the Marblehead Lighthouse that’s as tall as a person and a model of the front of a wooden ship labeled U.S.S. Lawrence. If you walk inside of the ship, you can see a large sign explaining things about Perry’s Victory and International Memorial, which is home to the third tallest monument in the country, being only behind the Washington Monument and St Louis Arch. After I went in the ship, I went to the part of the visitor center where there’s an information desk and several promotional flyers about local businesses in the area. After looking at those, I left the visitor center, satisfied with my experience. I gave this visitor center five stars because it has nice exhibits about the area.
