I want to give an honest and fair review here as I understand we are still under covid restrictions to a degree. Let's start with the bad because there is more bad than good:

I ordered carryout at 6pm - was told it would be ready for pickup at 830pm. That's 2 and a half hours. Fair enough it is a holiday weekend. Arrived at 830pm and was directed away from the hostess to the BAR to pick up my food. Ok fine. Everyone behind the bar seemed more interested in serving drinks to patrons rather than fulfilling carryout orders. After giving my name to the bartender I proceeded to wait half an hour before asking about the whereabouts of my order. Had I not initiated the conversation I truly believe I would have waited much longer for my food. Thankfully the order was fulfilled shortly after 9pm - over 3 hours after the order was placed.

The food was fresh and I was pleasantly pleased with a majority of the sides. The pork fat potatoes were amazing and the fried deviled eggs and fried pickles were amazing.

However, the meat, while fresh was nearly inedible because the amount of salt made the pulled pork taste like a bottle of Morton's kosher. The brisket was mediocre. The collard greens were the exact opposite with no seasoning and anyone from the south who knows what collard greens should taste like will be very disappointed. The baked beans were mediocre. The cornbread was a delicious blend of sweet and spicy. The jalapeno sausage was the only meat that delivered an above par taste bud test.

Overall, I think the restaraunt as it stands is not handling things very well. Do I believe it will get better? Yes, the overall product is good aside from the over seasoned meats (which can be remedied) . Wait times can also be fixed.

As it stands right now - the restaraunt is very much like a new car that just hit the market. Let them work the kinks out for a few years...

One of our favorite day trips (if you live in central Ohio) is going up to Lake Erie and spending the day at Marblehead lighthouse and East Harbor State Park. If you ever find yourself up there for the day, be sure to grab lunch or dinner at The Que!! It’s definitely something to look forward to. Open year round, the Que features some of the best BBQ we’ve ever had. Upon being led to your table, a waiter stops by and offers you a little dish of peanuts in their signature seasoning. If they don’t offer you one, ask! You won’t be disappointed. The wait staff also leaves you with a couple paper dishes, silverware, handi wipes and a variety of BBQ sauces to try with your meal. The sauces range from sweet to spicy with a couple fruity flavors in between, and of course The Que traditional BBQ sauce. Our favorite menu item is the Brisket Mac n cheese wrap with fries. Their fries are sprinkled with their signature seasoning, the same as the peanuts and are absolutely delicious! And the mac n cheese in a wrap… it's a dream come true! The restaurant itself offers both indoor and outdoor seating and a friendly wait staff. If you go at the right time of the week you may even catch a live musician to enjoy while you visit with friends and family at your table. The environment itself is always well kept and clean. A full bar is also available with a regular and seasonal menu. And did we mention their dessert menu? You’ll want the banana pudding! Overall we give The Que a 4 out of 5 stars. Definitely worth the stop if you are ever up that way! 🐨

This is the 2nd time we have eaten at the 'Que. The first time was a take out and they forgot half our order. so we had to drive back and get it and they did give us a gift certificate to compensate. We went on December 30, 2022 to use our certificate. We sat at the bar and were waited on quickly. We ordered numerous sides to get a variety of tastes. The menu stated with each meat order you receive, onions, white bread, pickles and jalapeno's. We ordered 3 meats... Our food came on a tray and no plates were brought. Had to ask for them. Would not recommend the cornbread as it was dry and crumbly. Noticed we did not receive the Onions, bread, pickles or jalapeno's. Unable to get her attention while we were eating. When she came back we asked about the what we didn't receive and her response. "we ask if people want those items because there is a lot of waste' She didn't ask us.... She then asked do you want them now as we were taking a to-go. No apology given.... we said yes. she came out with a container in a bag and we put our food in a container and then left. We got home and opened the container she had wrapped. We had 2 pieces of white bread, couple strings of onions, 2 very thin slices of a jalapeno and quite a few pickles. The point of the sides to the sides is to be able to make a sandwich if you so desire. There wasn't enough sides to the sides to make a sandwich had they brought it with our food. Very disappointed in this experience and since this was our 2nd time and still not impressed we will...

So we went at the end of the Walleye fest. They were out of everything, including ice. Although this was very disappointing, our waitress was great, very accommodating, and she even had a personality. There was 18 of us total on a Sunday night and she was on top of everything. She didn't miss a single order. Wish I would have gotten her name but that should be enough info for her to get her recognized. Thank you so much! Food was excellent! Everything came out hot, fresh, and as expected. I had zero complaints. Portions and prices seemed fair. The waitress even brought ice later when it became available. I noticed there was there was no music but then they had live performance with a guy and his guitar. Nice touch! Atmosphere was great, dining room was very spacious. They had patio seating where the musician played. I would have given 5 stars, but they were out of everything. I understand that you have to smoke your food and it takes time and is done ahead, but there was a huge event and perhaps it could have been calculated a little better. It's hard to choose something you wouldn't normally order because the top two or three items you came for were not available. They were out of deviled eggs, brisket, ribs, chicken, sampler, etc. The only thing you could order were sandwiches, big eats, and sausage. Hopefully management records this information for next year and prepares accordingly.

Arrived to a full restaurant on a Wednesday evening (6:15) and, after 5 min of standing in the front of the restaurant, the hostess arrived with an unwelcoming greeting and looked to be bothered to be working tonight (opinion). Told that we would have approx 20 minute wait to be seated (it was about 30). The chalk board stated that ALL brisket and chicken (at a BBQ place) was already sold out—along with sweet potato fries—even though they are open until 9:00pm. Once seated, our waitress, Britney, was friendly and took our drink order, as well as answered a few menu questions. Beverages were quickly delivered. There was a soloist/guitarist for some entertainment while waiting which also added to the atmosphere, in addition to the scenic River view. My wife’s ribs were smoked and prepared with a dry rub—Tasty but different than what she expected and prefers. My sausage kielbasa link was good and their jalapeño brat had a good spice to it. I would have liked to sample some of their pulled pork… but waitress did not hear that as a part of the order, apparently. On the plus side, their vinegar based sauces were great! As a somewhat humorous note, 3 of our 4 “wet wipe” finger towels were “bone dry”. Haha. I was happy to see them supporting a local brewery and enjoyed two can stouts from Twin Oast Brewing. While the dessert options sounded appealing, there was no room for sweets on this trip. Next time.
