I used to order food from Los Amigos when they only had one location in the Kalamazoo area and I absolutely loved it. Over the years as they have gotten more locations their food quality has gone downhill tremendously. We Ordered food for a group of 5 people for takeout from the Westnedge location by slowed. Out of the 5 orders, 4 of them were completely wrong. Called the restaurant and spoke to a manager who said that they would replace our food with what we actually ordered. I asked him to have someone drive it to me as this was not our error and surprisingly he did agree to send an employee out to deliver the food to us. I was happy that the situation was being fixed. The girl showed up to deliver the food to us and she was very rude. I handed her the bag of the orders we did get and she turned around and walked away as I was speaking to her, mumbling something under her breath. With the food that was delivered, the order still was not correct. Obviously at that point we just decided that we would eat what we were given and move about our evening. The food that we received was horrible. Frozen burritos that are microwaved are of higher quality than the food that we received. One of the orders included a cheese quesadilla which literally consisted of a tortilla shell with a very small amount of white cheese sauce folded in half. If I could attach a picture I absolutely would. I for one will never eat from any of their restaurants in the future as their food is honestly quite terrible. Read moreI ordered from their website on Saturday 8/26 around 6:40pm. My card was charged. I got an email several minutes later stating that my order was unable to go through and I needed to contact the restaurant. I called around 6:55pm, and was told by the employee on the phone that they do not take online orders. I said that I did this directly through their own website (and I currently see an option for online ordering on their facebook page as well) and I was told if that's the case to contact corporate. I cannot find a number for corporate on the website.
I called back and specially asked to talk to a manager and I was hung up on. I called back and was hung up on again. I called with my wife's phone and they picked up, and I again asked to talk to a manager, and the person on the phone identified themselves as a manager. I repeated the issue- I placed an order through their own website, I was charged, then I received an email that the order was cancelled. Said I would come to the store and show the email as proof that I wasn't faking this. The manager told me that the restaurant doesn't handle the website- the website has my money not them- and I needed to contact corporate. Read moreFirst. the good -- The food. The chips were fresh, the salsa was fine, the guacamole was very good. For my entree, I had the Pollo Toluca, which was excellent. Next, the bad -- The service. I came towards the tail end of a busy lunch crowd. I was seated pretty quickly -- within 3 or 4 minutes of walking in. The bus boy brought chips and salsa by my table very quickly. At least 10 minutes went by, before a waiter stopped. He took my drink order, and dropped off my iced tea pretty promptly. Then, I waited at least 15 minutes for him to return to take my order. Prep time for the meal was reasonable. My waiter did bring a refill for my tea within 5 minutes or so of me placing the empty glass at the edge of my table. After I finished eating, he even brought me the check fairly quickly. Then my pet peeve -- I waited and waited for him to come get my payment. After 20 minutes, I flagged down a bus boy and asked him to take my card. He returned with the rung up card receipt a few minutes later.
