This was by far the worst experience weāve ever had here. The staff was unprofessional and rude. We simply came in to get our account number and PIN number and waited for over 45 minutes. Not only did the staff belittle us when we asked for help, but were rude and just plain spiteful.
We were the second person on the wait list. However, it seemed like everyone else that came in was getting helped before us. We finally spoke with the manager about it and he said, āthere is a protocol.ā We understand this but it seemed as if we were getting bypassed as more customers came in especially after we voiced our concern to him.
As staff members came out they helped other people who had just walked in. A short time later, the manager miraculously called another staff named āAraceliā to help us. She got into our account and quickly gave us our number. We asked her for the managers name and he came over and explained the protocol and process about payments and questions about promotions came first because they didnāt have to access any account which take up time.
We understood this, but explained our frustration. Richard, the manager was offering his help once we voiced our concerns.
Araceli, spoke over her manager and simply made it worse by telling us we could have avoided this wait and problem by going online. Her tone of voice and comment was uncalled for, rude, and unprofessional on her part.
We advised her we came in because we assumed it was a quick thing and we preferred getting help from a live person. This was not the case! She showed a lack of customer service skills on her part.
We are so disappointed with this encounter and this corporate chain. We will also be calling corporate with more details from this experience so they can take this information and use it to make the experience of others better, more efficient, and more comfortable. I've had one incident in the past 10 years plus until now. Patty was not willing to understand and have consideration for my needs, request and feeling about my current issue. She never made an attempt to seem sympathetic to me and only tried to refer me away to the call center. My issue was created by the retail store which I was hoping would resolve there mistake. Yet, Patty never let me into the building only stating I needed to call customer service. Sad to say if I was there to open a new line or upgrade a device she would jumped at the opportunity to help me. I have 10 open lines with AT&T, along with my Satellite service. I felt like very insulted that in my time of need they chose to turn me away without fully understanding my request and attempting to resolve the issue themselves before turning me away. I understand she is there to make sales and create revenue for the company and its shareholders but customers like myself make this company thousands of dollars a year. I will no longer order my new devices from AT&T, instead I will use Samsung, Apple or Google directly to purchase new smartphones and never step foot where I'm not valued. Furthermore I am going to reconsider my wireless options and Satellite options moving foward. There were 5 workers total, but they all avoid eye contact with us until more than five munutes later a girl worker came over and ask us if we need anything. We told them we just need to replace a bad SIM, should not take too long but she told us to wait about 20mins as there were customers ahead of us. We were kept waiting for a very long time. We waited for more than eighty minutes untile someone came and finish everything in less than five minutes. We could see some of them walking around doing nothing, while most gathered at a table chatting. We were really not happy with the way they treated us.
