The experience was absolutely awful. To begin with, we never got an actual server until 40 minutes later. We hadn’t even put in an order yet so at this point we are just waiting to even put an order in. We wouldn’t have minded the wait if they simply had just told us, like “hey, we are busy right now but we will get to you as soon as we can.” It wouldn’t have wasted much time SIMPLY telling us that. We also didn’t start getting our refills after some gentlemen got it for us at 40 minutes. At least the food was good to make up for it right? No, the sandwiches were stiff as if they had been sitting there, the cooked/steamed veggies were cold, the ham on the brisk-it-all i understand was supposed burnt on the ends, but it was wayyy too burnt cuz it just look like one of us was eating coal. The mashed potatoes looked and tasted weird. Afterwards, one of my members got sick and had to puke a few times. Then when I wanted to complain, the waiter seemed bother that I had told him that I was not happy with our food nor the wait. Then when the manager came out, she had an attitude and didn’t hear my entire complain out. She tried saying, it’s prom night it’s going to be busy, I found it funny because literally no one else in that time frame which we were in, were kids of prom age. It was mostly adults and families of which maybe at most were two large parties, and there were also about maybe 5 other parties besides me and my brother and friends. I believe it should’ve been manageable with proper management. They seemed to care more about sitting people down than actually serving them. Read morePurchased wings and fries last night curbside. I got home and was very disappointed with the fact that I had been given burnt wings coated with Buffalo sauce. I called the Denny’s on Montgomery in porterville and spoke to Alyssa the manager. She apologized and said it’s because they were In A hurry closing. To come by tomorrow. Today Saturday I called to pick up my order and was told to call in the evening that they couldn’t honor that because it was on Alyssa shift. I called around 8pm and was told Alyssa did t come to work that I would have to call tomorrow. That’s when I started to become upset and asked to speak to a manager. The manager came on the phone and explained I would have to follow up tomorrow because they don’t give free food for errors that were not on there shift. That’s when I lost my cool. I explained that I was not trying to get “free food” I wanted what I paid for and it wasn’t burnt food. I told him to not bother because I would dispute the charge. Read moreI am extremely disappointed with the management. The poor waitresses have been doing this for the last two years. They are told to bring the itemized bill where you can actually leave a tip on your credit card and once you sign it even if you put a tip on it they are not allotted to tip. The proper procedure with every other restaurant I've ever been to and I travel a lot. Is that you bring the itemized bill the customer looks at the bill approves it gives you the credit card they write down their tip or gratuity however the heck you want to put it and then they run the bill and then they get the tip these girls are getting cheated. I'm extremely disappointed extremely. This is been going on for years whoever's in charge of Denny's needs to make sure that these ladies get their gratuity. I went up and tried to rerun it and they couldn't do it. They're getting screwed out of 90% of their tips because of the when the bill is presented. I hope somebody reads this. No one pays cash and I hope the issue is remedied. These girls are having to claim 15% and they're only getting maybe five that's not right.
