So I would say for the price, it is what you should expect. I didn’t have super high hopes, but I have tried other sushi places similar to this type. Seemed like there were regulars and the people working here knew what they liked and brought them over plates, which is cool. For me though, I had to wave someone down to order something from the menu that isn’t on the conveyor. All the sushi tasted essentially the same; that’s likely because pretty much everything was like a variation of a California roll, imitation crab meat being the main base meat. The spicy tuna was a little darker and slightly warm… slightly scary. All of the rolls that I tried also tasted like they had 30% mayo to them, which was kinda gross. But again, for the price, I wasn’t expecting too much. This would be a great place when you are craving sushi but are in college or just a little tight on funds. Nothing wrong with that by any means. But the thing that kinda bugged me was the dessert. I ordered a tempura ice cream. Well… lo and behold… I think I got maybe a teaspoon of ice cream in a ball that was as big as the plate! Sooo disappointed! Maybe about an inch of dough around it, a VERY thin layer of panko (the “tempura” part) and a bunch of whipped cream and chocolate syrup. I literally thought I would be happy with this since it’s hard to mess up and can be done on a budget easily. But nope! I tried to get the ice cream out of it, but really couldn’t find much. Just a hollow ball. If it had a nice ball of ice cream in it, I think I wouldn’t had cared about the foam pillow of bread/cake that surrounded it. But was literally hollow. Anyway. The people working here were nice. I wouldn’t go back, personally… but I would still recommend it if you are on a tight budget and are crashing sushi. Or if you have the munchies (it is Oregon...
Read moreIf I could give this place zero stars I would. The worst customer service. We made a reservation for my father's birthday. We arrived on time and they had forgotten the reservation so we got stuck in the middle so we couldnt reach the conveyor belt well, we ordered off the menu because the majority of the dishes on the belt looked old and multiple dishes didnt even have lids and the fish was drying and you could see it. Rolls that should have been hot were cold/luke warm or dripping with grease. Their dumplings clearly were not hand made, they must have come from some box of frozen because they were dripping grease and still frozen in the center. We attempted trying tempura of many sorts and was all either cold like it had been saved over or even refrigerated and then placed inside a roll or it was extremely undercooked and soaked in grease(not the kind on the outside from oil dripping but where it look ok on the outside but bit into it and got a puddle of cold grease go down your arm and pour into your mouth. Getting rolls off the menu or belt were failing so we ordered some yakasoba and we had to ask for it 3-4 times and when it finally got to the table(45-1 hour later) it looked like dried set out top ramen with literally 5 small pieces of unappetizing beef on it so we sent it back. Everyone that went was sick within the night to the next 2 days. I high reccomend not going here at all unless you go when they are not busy, have adequate staffing and you order straight off the menu. I would reccomend sushi village on 181st instead. Great fresh fish and service. A lot...
Read moreDobt go here they don't follow even normal food service hygiene protocol,, forget we are in a pandemic. We ordered and are waiting for food to be prepared. A older, tall, slim man walks in. We are sitting by door watching.. He goes behind counter. Wipes his nose vigorously with his bare hand. Then punches something in on the touch monitor of the cash register. He then proceeds to bus tables bare handed. He then starts touching boxed to go orders to put them in bags. He goes I n to the kitchen hopefully not touching anything. We couldn't see from where we were sitting. We were hoping he wouldn't touch our to go order. At this point we caught the attention of the other server. Informed him of our hygiene concern. Good for him he immediately talked to the tall man in a language I could not understand. After some vigorous discussion the tall man comes over to say yeah he forgot to wash his hand but basically the food is covered. I said doesn't matter you cross contain between bussing to touching the open plates of in store diners to touching to go orders all without gloves or washing hands. Whether it's covered or not the germs are on the boxes and the bags the boxes go in. His response, he didn't know what to do. This alarmed me and was just nasty. We left....
