Black Rock Coffee Bar — Restaurant in Portland

I was an excited customer waiting for this location to open. When it did, there was pleasant staff that seemed to like what they do, and their attitudes were infectious. I absolutely loved getting my coffee here all the time. Recently, I've been more and more disappointed as I end up unhappy with my drink, or I feel like I'm causing them so much stress for them to do their job (and I order a simple flavored latte). Really feels "great" when my drink is wrong and I'm too put off that I don't feel I can say anything so my drink goes in the trash instead. I feel bad that there are still some great employees here, but I can see even how the attitudes impact them, too. Might be time to check the culture at this location. I'm sure I'm not the only one feeling the pissiness that comes from some of the staff. Maybe it'd be bearable if my drinks were correct. I'll check back in 6 months to a year. Maybe certain attitudes will find other jobs that make them happy by then. I'm sad that I won't be going here anymore. Hopefully the DM is still around and I can see them at...

I frequently visit this Blackrock location, and it usually doesn't disappoint, especially with their drinks. While my wife favors the Fuel drinks, I lean towards coffee. Recently I decided to try something new so, I tried their new seasonal Orange Dream Fuel, and it was a delightful experience.

The drink has a tart base, perfectly complemented by a sweet vanilla cream on top, reminiscent of Starbucks' cold foam drinks. As you sip the flavored fuel, it blends with the cream, creating a refreshing and delicious summer concoction that tastes like an Orange Creamsicle. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and tasty...

I love black rock, great drinks and staff is always friendly. I leave this review in hopes that someone will take what I’m saying seriously. There’s a serious cross contamination issue. I go to this specific location a couple times a week and the past few months I’ve gotten several fuel drinks that taste like coffee and specifically hazelnut. I get the same fuel drink everytime, I know it’s not suppose to taste like hazelnut. I’ve brought it up and they’re nice and apologetic but it still happens. If someone has an allergy and this happens it’s not okay… it’s probably as simple as someone using the same spoon to stir and not cleaning...
