I loved this place for years. They had great banh mi sandwiches and bubble tea. Though ever since the ban of plastic bags, this place has consistently served in unsafe manners. They used to put their sandwiches in the paper sandwich bag (as shown in photo) and then placed it inside a plastic bag. Now with the plastic ban, they just don’t even bother to put the sandwich in a bag at all. It’s like they’re too cheap to invest in paper to-go or paper sandwich bags. The sandwiches themselves are longer than the sandwich bags, as shown by how much exposed sandwich is in the picture. And they actually think it’s safe or healthy to just hand the customer their sandwiches like this AT A DRIVE-THRU??? Especially this late into a GLOBAL PANDEMIC??? If I was dining in, I can understand it being served that way (on a tray), but do you THINK I’m planning on eating this as I drive or something?! Restaurants are supposed to be taking extra safety precautions especially now, and this is the practice they still go by?! And the girl who handed me the sandwich just gave me this exposed sandwich by BARE HANDS! Not to mention the whole time she and the other girl at the window were just gossiping with each other 90% of the time I was there and it took me a while just to get their attention and asked if they had a bigger bag to put the sandwich in. When they did, it was a small brown paper bag that was barely the length of the sandwich itself! Ridiculous! If they wanna be cheap and not invest in proper sized bags for to-go orders for their sandwiches, they can even easily just put 2 of those sandwich bags (one in picture) on both ends of the sandwich, then tape them together in the center to keep it covered and not exposed. Seriously, did these people even take a food handlers class before actually serving food...
Read moreAwful experience!!! If you have any food allergies, don’t bother to attempt to order from them. We ordered through Grubhub. I have a severe fish allergy and requested no fish sauce on my sandwich in the app. In the past, if this has been a problem with other places they’d call and notify me and give me the option to order something different. NOPE. Instead I waited almost an hour for my lunch to arrive only to have my sandwich missing from the order without any explanation. My husband had ordered the same as me and offered to just split his with me. Disappointing, but sometimes items get missed. Suspicious, we called the restaurant. They were unapologetic and told us that it was dropped from the order because the marinade had fish sauce in it— thanks for telling ME!??? There was zero notes or explanations in the order, just a refund for the missing item. Thank god we called because had we just shared I could have literally died. When we called they were like, “yeah that item has fish sauce but number X and number Y are ok” but how was I supposed to know that just looking at the menu? And it would have been nice to be given the option to order one of the safe options instead of just waiting an hour to go hungry. Unbelievable they’d operate this way, most other places at least put in a little effort to...
Read moreThis place used to be awesome. The last few times I've been there, the quality of service was significantly lower. This time, I put in a pretty simple order of about 4 items. My sandwich was missing the avocado and I was missing a taco entirely, so I went back through the drive thru to get it fixed. I go here all the time and never had a wrong order so it was no biggie. However, instead of fixing it the cashier asked me to pay for the taco again, which I decided to just do. Then, she went and huddled up with the rest of the team and seemed to discuss the avocado with them for several minutes. Then, a second worker came over and asked me to pay for the taco a third time. I refused. She asked me to pay $1 for the missing avocado and I did. She went away and huddled with the team again for several more minutes. She came back and asked me to pass the sandwich back through the window. That is not legal, so I refused. I asked her to just give me a side of avocado for me to add myself. She huddled with the team again. When I finally got the rest of my food, I had spent about an extra 10 minutes in the drive thru and paid $7 for a single taco, and an extra dollar for my sandwich. Enough to buy a whole nother sandwich. If yall can't even pretend to care about customer service then I can't give you my...
