One of those food carts you want to visit every week for the tamales with the great Oaxacan Mole sauce.

I received the menu and ordered the Oaxaqueno Tamale Box with chicken, rice, and beans after a short wait.

The menu has enchiladas, street tacos, burritos, wet burritos with chile sauce, and tamales in a box or singles,

I received my order in about ten minutes with no problems.

The order included two tamales with a Mole sauce.

The beans and rice had a nice taste to them and were not overcooked.

The chicken tasted great with the Mole sauce and the tamale were wrapped in a banana leaf.

Located on SE 82nd in the Core food cart pod just south of SE Powell.

Tried this place yesterday because we were craving tamales, and were not disappointed! Nothing fancy, just a perfectly-made tamale: the masa had a good texture and flavor, the tamales are big, and the filling was moist and flavorful. Everything was salted correctly. The side salad was actually really good. The green sauce that came with the chicken tamales was also quite good! Note that the combo meals don't come with beans, so we ordered those on this side… also good! Not too lard-y or salty plus the beans weren't cooked to mush.

Oh, and it was quick, too. And the leftovers were good the next day. I really appreciated this meal. We'll be ordering from these...

I really wanted to like this place... Coming from California, I am accustomed to authentic and flavorful Mexican food. Unfortunately, this food truck lacked both. I ordered the Enchiladas Suizas, it was cold, very bland and dry (lacking chili verde sauce). I did appreciate the queso fresco and their take on a salad. The salad was very fresh and helped the meal feel less heavy and look appealing. The pork tamale was great and still hot when I picked it up. My boyfriend had the Chili Verde burrito and he said his food was bland as well. Our meal came with exactly 7 chips... not enough for two people. I probably won’t purchase...
