Bucket Brigade Sports Bar & Restaurant — Restaurant in Portland

This is a pretty good place. The food is decent. Fun crowd during football season. There is only one thing that makes it tough for me to go here sometimes.

I live in the area and wanted to watch basketball playoffs.... maybe this was a few years ago. Basketball playoffs... a time in sports when you have this, playoff hockey, and baseball going on. This game was the biggest thing in sports happening at the time. There was music playing on the speakers when I walked in, but I also saw that the game was about to come on. I asked the bartender if it would be okay to put on the sound for the game, and he said, "...no, we're listening to the music right now." It wasn't like we were listening to a band or even a good friend's demo tape. This was background bar top 40 nonsense. Seemingly no one was even paying attention to it. I guess that was the point. Either way, ultimately the music was more important than the biggest sport going on at the time... at a sports bar. So I left and went to a place that would be willing to turn on the sound. I like this place, and I'll go back to watch games.... maybe... with Tunity and headphones. I want to support local businesses and all that. Imagine this happening at Buffalo Wild Wings... during the playoffs. Anyway, Bucket Brigade is a great neighborhood option. But I'll never forget this experience.... "...we're listening to the...

Cant really grade the food as we never got served so its a 1 for the crappy service. Went in to grab a burger as we have had good burgers in the past. Sat down in the round tables in the middle of the room. Saw the server over behind the bar messing with some tickets or something and the bartender was talking to a man. We waited and waited, another server came in and threw her coat on the back counter under the food area. They talk for a minute and the bartender is standing there. The server that was there comes around the outside of the bar to where she would pick up a drink, she grabs a drink. Looked like a shot of tequila, we thought she might bring us some menus and get our drink order. We were wrong as she walked pretty much around the room in which we though she was going to serve the drink to someone and come to us. Wrong again as she got back towards the bar and licked to top of the drink with a sip, if I was OLCC she would have a nice fine today as well as the bar. I wouldn't trust the food or people here, bartenders never wash their hands and take food from your plate in the window, eat behind the bar and don't wash there hands, there is ants in there soda line. Yes ants in your soda, The staff smokes cigarettes in the back in the office during open hours, with door open right next to the kitchen, the owner and manager are horrible and unprofessional. They have such a high turnover & the owner is why, Employees do drugs in the bathroom during shifts. we don't support this business.

Edit: Of course the owner will deny, they owner and manager smoke cigarettes inside during operating hours, literally smoke in the back, next to the kitchen. I witness staff doing drugs in the bathroom and there is ants in the soda line or there was in December next to the coffee machine. Not false, and no one washes their hands even after...
