I am so incredibly upset with my experience at this restaurant that for once I am leaving a review, out of the decade I’ve been coming here. I am no ordinary customer. I have worked at Jubitz during the reign of Mr. Fred, Mr. Rich, and Mr. Tom, and maybe WCCE is no longer required in this establishment now, but back then it was mandatory to treat your customers as if they were important because they are. I have been on the CHAMPION board, was a safety leader, and know what it takes to achieve World Class Customer Experience several times over. It was my number 1 priority while I worked there my year. With this background in mind, I come to my experience. When I first walked into the restaurant with my husband, we seated ourselves. It was 11ish AM today (Saturday) and this is purely given in case the camera needs to be reviewed. And our waitress HEATHER, after checking on her other customers, walked right by us to the back. I proceeded to watch her just strike up a conversation with the other waitresses in the back, glancing at us every so often. At this time, I started getting upset because she just continued her conversation for a minute, knowing we were there. After they were done talking, she came over to us, and by this time I could not contain myself. I asked my husband to leave. When I left, I decided to come back in to get a WCCE review card, asked her for her name for when she proceeded to tell ME she was going to drop a comment card on ME for supposedly coming in angry. Then tried to argue with me about how she was helping the other waitress with her food, and wasn’t ignoring us. After that she went to the back and started loudly complaining about me, that I could hear her from the front of the restaurant. I started yelling at her to please be quiet at her workplace. I know where I went wrong and I should not have yelled back at her in the restaurant. However after hearing how loudly she was talking bad about me as the customer to the other waitresses and cooks, I got incredibly upset, more than I already was. Again, this will be apparent on the Jubitz cameras that can see everything. This is why I left the time and day so the management can review this in incident and hopefully avoid one like this in the future. I also dropped a Comment card with the fact that she had no name tag on, I’m hoping she h gave me her real name. I will be back because I love Jubitz, and it is nostalgic for me. However I hope the customer service goes back to the way it used to be, and customers coming to this restaurant actually...
Read moreExtremely disappointed that I was not treated like a valued guest! With me being a huge cheese lover I was recommended to try cascade Mac & Cheese. Therefore, I went at 5:00pm on Saturday (yesterday) upon reaching the host stand I was immediately sat by the sweetest host ever. Placing both my food order and drink with the server she then continues to take the refill drink order for three families near me. I thought it was absolute genius to take everyone orders to keep from having to double back- the dilemma is when 30 minutes pass by and the two families are enjoying refills of their alcoholic beverages while the third family consumes non-alcoholic drinks-all while I don’t even have water nevertheless the drink I ordered prior to the families ordering another round. With me making eye contact with the server to remind her I’m still here, she then proceeded to gather payments from one family without checking on me to see if I would care for a non-alcoholic beverage as well while waiting for my cocktail- but no. After waiting a while I went searching for a manager and I seen a lady and man manager. While in route to get their attention the host doing silverware at the highchairs near the kitchen proceed to see if I needed any assistance. I let her know that I still don’t have food or drinks and asked to speak with a manager for a little insight on the delay. With her being shocked and apologetic because she knew how long I’ve been there- she (the host) proceeded to make the managers aware and she (the host) came back and sat me with another server. Ultimately the host asked the nearest server Amanda if she was able to assist me and she did perfectly! Honestly I felt under appreciated because between my original server and the management did not adhere to my simply fair request. Which is the server placing the order and the mangers for not prioritize checking on my experience despite the host relaying the message and back story. Double...
Read moreTwo stars only because it is clean and well appointed. Two stars only because food is so overpriced. We (drivers) are a captive audience. This is the only place to park for miles around, and walking to a nearby restaurant is impossible because there are no nearby restaurants to walk to, hence the captive audience.
While I understand there are operating costs for every business, there are also those costs that will drive a patron away. A good example here is that you offer a self-serve salad bar that allows for only one helping on a tiny plate. This was the final straw that made me swear never to return here. I mean, we ALL know how much a head of lettuce costs. It would NOT put you out of business to offer an all-you-can-eat soup and salad bar. It WOULD be reason enough for me to come back and patronize your establishment. Would it thrust you into the woes of bankruptcy to provide an average-sized BOWL (or at least a salad plate) for the salad to at least keep the dressing on the produce?
This is what happens when someone 'blindly' runs a business (any business) and never 'samples their own product'. Put yourselves on the other end of this owner-patron equation and consider what it would feel like for YOU to have to pay for another complete salad bar item just because you wanted a bit more salad.
I'll park in Aurora and leave earlier in the morning. At least I'll leave satisfied and without feeling as if I'd been been held hostage as a captive victim because of what I've chosen to do for a living.
Shame on you. Shame on all truck industry service oriented businesses who engage in this practice. I wonder if you've ever given any thought to how your produce (and all of the other overpriced food you offer here) even gets to you. From the field to the shipper to the dock to the local driver. Trucks. All on trucks. Without trucks...
