Not a safe place, emotionally, for people with invisible disabilities. Sorry for the long winded comment but I want to help others with disabilities. I hope the restaurant might consider some adjustment in customer service and work on consistency.
The first time we went in, the owners and workers were cold to us but we rolled with it. My partner ordered a personal sized one and loved it. They wanted to share with me and I have mild gluten and dairy allergies. We tried the cauliflower crust for the buffalo chicken pizza. It was so yummy!
I went back to order the same thing, the buffalo chicken. The owners were not super friendly and the restaurant was empty like it was before. The consistency of preparation is not consistent and it was not what we were expecting. It tasted different which is important to some customers, especially if they have some sort of invisible disability. They offered to remake it. We declined as we were already on the freeway to go home, we drove 45 minutes to get the pizza. We didn’t want to go back because we had plans with family. It was inconvenient, we just wanted to give them feedback about the inconsistency. They were looking for a solution when we just wanted them to hear the feedback. It wasn’t necessarily the fact that the pizza wasn’t consistent with the fact they didn’t want to listen or say, “okay we will take in consideration the process is more consistent.”
Working with mentally disabled individuals who get upset easily by inconsistent results leads to blow ups. I would say the business is not equipped or welcoming to all customers. I do not recommend bringing anyone who has mental health disorders to this place. Guaranteed dealing with explosive behavior is not comfortable. However, as the mental disability community is growing at a rapid rate, I do expect businesses providing some sort of customer experience should be prepared for any range of situations. I found it...
Read moreIt’s Thursday 6:30pm, there’s 4 tables, one group of 8, then the rest are small groups. The 8 already ordered and have their water, 2 of the smaller table are eating their food. Only 1 table and us (group of 3) are seating and waiting. The waitress was by herself, and I don’t mind waiting, especially if she’s taking care of the front of the house by herself. After 20 minutes of waiting at the table, the waitress is finally talking to us, told us she’s sorry about the wait but she forgot her books and she’ll be right back with water and her book. 10 minutes passed she ran from a table to another and finally to ours, she took our orders and wrote the 5 items on her book (very important for later). It was a 14” inch house pizza, 14 bonelesss wings, a Caesar salad, a chicken parm pizza poutine, and a Garlic cheese curds. The food came pretty fast, but only 3 plates came out, the wings, the salad and the poutine. The food was not bad but not great either. Wings were maybe the best out of the 3, the poutine was okay, the tomato sauce acidity takes over the taste of everything else and then the Caesar salad was a little lacking, and missing some croutons. We ate while waiting for the Pizza and the Garlic cheese curds, but we are still waiting for the rest of our order. Now it’s 7:50pm, we just wanted to get back to our hotel. I decided to pay the bill and just bring the rest of our order to go. When ask the waitress said everything we ordered is on our table and we ordered only 3 items. So I just told her it was okay and we just want the bill. We were waiting 20min for food that would have never came because the waitress never put in the order. So in the end, food is meh, service is the worse but the decoration is cool. This place is just loosing money because of this...
Read moreSo I get off a 22hr shift. I’m starving. Not starving to the point where any garbage will taste like treasure, but hungry and tired.
I pull my phone out to find a pizza joint, and doughboys popped up. And hey, I like Boyz N The Hood, so I figured I’d try it.
After placing an order I head that way, and I arrive to the best damn pizza I’ve had in a very long time. The crust. Perfection. Hand tossed that isn’t too soft it flops, but firm enough to give the slices some foundation to hold itself up.
The sausage. Real. Chunky. Delicious.
The pepperoni and jalapeños were very good as well, but sausage was the star here.
The sauce was extra, just as I ordered and delicious as well.
The cheese was decent, and that’s coming from a born and raised Wisconsinite.
The service was kind and polite. They made sure to ask if I wanted crushed red and Parmesan cheese.
The environment seemed very clean and chill. Spacious, even. There was an outside patio that I wish I could have used but it was raining.
Anyway, the pizza was amazing and so are the people who had their hand in it. That includes the woman who took my order over the phone and rang me up.
I highly recommend and will be coming back when in the area. I tipped, but only 3 bucks because I am broke and houseless at the moment, so I’m careful with how I part with my hard earned relish. But what I’m trying to say is I wish I could have tipped...
