Sort of weird. They cancelled my Too Good To Go just 5 minutes before pickup. The app didn't mention the change, so I traveled to pick up the purchase. And the employee said that they cancelled it because everyone had already picked up all the orders. But none of that makes sense because my order was cancelled prior to the pickup time (so cancelled before anyone could pick up their Too Good To Go), and there was (what looked to be) a Too Good To Go box just waiting on the counter. This was my fourth Too Good To Go here since June, and all the others were okay. The vibe was really different this time, just weird and dismissive and, well, dishonest.
It's okay if there wasn't enough food waste to make a decent Too Good To Go, but if that's the case, there's no reason to lie. Again, just strange.
Overall though, the donuts are not good enough for the full price. I would never buy them for the full price. That's why I stuck with the Too...
Read moreI'm extremely disappointed with my recent order of 2 dozen donuts for a co-worker's birthday. According to the ordering process, I believed I was upgrading my order for an additional three dollars per dozen to include half of them as deluxe. However, upon delivery, I only received one dozen donuts. Despite my receipt clearly stating two dozen donuts, I was charged $34.00 (excluding tip) for what seemed like an exorbitant amount for one dozen donuts that were not deluxe in any way.
Feeling confused and stressed, I called to inquire about the discrepancy, only to be met with indignation and zero customer service. The representative insisted that I received what I ordered. If indeed this is accurate, then the website's information is misleading. This oversight not only left me short of treats for everyone at work, but it also ruined the surprise for the birthday celebration, as there was no time left...
Read moreI have a goal of trying all of Portland’s unique donut spots, and while I haven’t made it far into my list, it’s going to be tough getting past the fluffy delicious rings and bars at Coco. Holy cow. The Maple Buttermilk Bar was really fluffy and tasty, the glaze delicious. None of the fake maple flavor. Had to get another donut, this time their very unique Mochi donut with a lavender glaze. I’ve never had a mochi donut, but indeed it had a very similar chewy texture like mochi, and was really, REALLY tasty. If you like mochi, try the mochi donut.
My black coffee was an excellent pairing, and very tasty in its own right.
The girl at the counter was very polite and pleasant, and the space was very nice; really felt like a modern day donut shop, simple and clean. I can’t wait to come back to this space. Next time you’re thinking...
