My wife had tried the Division location some years ago and thought it was just OK and was overpriced. Tonight we were trying to eat at a different restaurant (Podnah’s bbq) but it was already closed at 8 PM. We drove around the area for a while just to find out other restaurants already closed as well. We felt lucky to find Pdx Sliders still open.
So we happily went inside ordered up full size burgers (plus a kids menu full 6oz. burger with fries and a juice for the great price of $10) and fries ($5 each). I got their special of the day = a Chopped Cheese sandwich. The burgers were just OK. No lettuce and no tomato and the burgers were kind of burned - so they tasted pretty plain and dark. None of us care for a burnt tasting burger, but luckily I had gotten the Chopped Cheese and it was very good and juicy. The brioche bun it was on seemed a few days old as it was very crumbly and didn’t feel warm. Despite that, I would say it was the best thing we had at the table.
The prices are high. I believe the Chopped Cheese was likely over 20 bucks (unless they charge for ketchup (!!) which I just read in another review), if my calculations are right, which is quite a bit of money for what it was. I don’t think we’ll come back but thank you for being open and letting us try...
Read moreI am not exaggerating when I say the Sellwood burger at PDX Sliders is the best hamburger I've ever had. The burger was juicy and bursting with flavor. The patty was seasoned to perfection and the garlic aioli was tasty. This burger has grilled onions which I prefer to raw and aged cheddar cheese that you could taste through the deliciously seasoned meat. The bun was soft but hardy enough for the burger. There wasn't any ketchup or mustard on this burger and I didn't miss it at all. The French fries were cooked wonderfully, nice and crispy and also seasoned great with a hint of garlic. The quality of the ketchup they serve is very good. Their special dipping sauce was also really good, like fry sauce with more flavor. The restaurant is really modern and large with glass garage doors. We were in Portland on vacation and I wish we lived there because this would be our go to burger joint. This will be a must for us any time we are back in Portland. The price is great for the quality...
Read moreI’ve been here about 100 times to all three locations and today I bought $98 worth of burgers and four cokes. A young girl with dark black hair, very inappropriate and unprofessional. I got there and I asked if the cokes are in the bag and she said does it look like it.?? Very rude, I was just asking a question, paying Customer and all. while I pay for it and she goes is there anything else you need than I said can I get four ketchups and she’s like those are $1.25 apiece and I said you don’t get ketchup with a $98 meal she goes no. Rude as all can be. I’ve never had bad service or not exceptional service at this company. This is the first time what is wrong with this person? Location on Williams at about noon. Still left a 15% tip because the food is great and lots of good service...
