My wife and I stumbled upon this gem as we were hungry from traveling and googled “vegan soul food” leaving the airport. Cokiea’s was first on the list and closest so we decided to give it a try. First off, the whole food cart set up was super cute!!! We had a hard time settling on what to order but once we did, there was flavor, flavor and more flavor! We had the jackfruit birria tacos (with pinto beans and rice), potato tacos, Mac and cheese, blackberry peach cobbler and sweet potato pie. The presentation of everything was incredible. The pinto beans and rice were AMAZING!!!! The freshness of every ingredient was palpable. The Mac and cheese, forget about it. We’ve never tasted Mac and cheese like this before, it was delicious. The blackberry peach cobbler was the perfect combination of just the right amount of sweetness, a crust that could be eaten alone and the harmonious blend of blackberries and peaches that we never knew we needed! The sweet potato pie was a nostalgic treat that felt like a gift from a Southern grandma. The entire meal was truly wonderful and I am confident vegans and non-vegans alike would appreciate this meal! The chef shared these are her recipes and she truly has the hands of the ancestors on her. Thank you for this experience; we will definitely be back when we visit...

As soon as I landed in Portland I looked up vegan restaurants + CoKeia’s Kitchen popped up. There were some great reviews so I decided to head straight there! I had no idea it was in food truck park, and I was pleasantly surprised! (Lots of seating though I did takeaway.) Nikiea, the owner and chef, is the loveliest human! I explained to her that I had a training I was in town for and had to bring lunch the next few days, so she told me what food options would work great to bring in a Thermos to reheat. While she prepared the food we had a great conversation, she provided small business advice while prepping what would be the most amazing meals!!! Her gumbo over rice was outstanding, and that was lunch for two days. The huge portion of lasagna, filled with vegetables, came with a hefty side salad. She included the perfect fried okra, a large wedge of toasted French bread, and I ordered a thick slice of the best sweet potato pie. All of the food she made for me that night lasted me through 2 lunches and 2+ dinners, and it was absolutely delicious. I would definitely return while in Portland, and can’t thank her enough for the wonderful conversation along with her fantastic, healthy,...

I have been to this wonderful spot a million times but stayed in my comfort zone of the tacos. I've literally had them all, even the burrito, and burrito bowls. However, something told me that comfort and change can't sit together so I decided to try something new tonight. I tried the scrumptious pulled Jack sandwich, which came with heaping sides of Mac and cheese, and greens. I also got my 6 yr old the tamales. Before I noticed he scarfed down his tamales and was asking for a bite of mine. I was only able to try a single bite of his and man oh man I wanted another one just for myself lol... Here we both are now both stuffed to the max but of course, what a good dinner with a great dessert. We are eating the yum yum yummmaaay blackberry peach cobbler... If you ain't been here, get here, and if you have, try something different next time, I bet you'll love it better or just the same as your favorite.

To top it all off she is such a majestic being, very social( I mean we all have our days right?) and down to earth, and her love language is servitude!!!

May her and her business continue...

On a spontaneous date night, I decided to check out Rose city food carts. When we got there we found CoKiea’s Kitchen and I was amazed at her ratings so decided to give it a try. Yes. Yes it all!!! She has such a zest for life (and obviously cooking) that immediately drew us in. She’s making everything from scratch and you could taste the labor of love in every bite. We got the lasagna which was ✨😍🤩 incredible. Huge portion that my boyfriend and I split that came with a salad/tasty dressing and delish garlic bread. (We went around 6:30pm and this was her last slice so be sure to get there earlier in the night!!) We also got a slice of the sweet potato pie and the peach cobbler because I couldn’t choose - and it’s better to have two desserts anyway 😝. They were amazing. Beyond thankful to have found such soul comforting food that’s dairy free but doesn’t taste it. We’ll certainly be back for more soon!!
