Coveside Coffee — Restaurant in Portland

Coveside Coffee opened in 2021 around Portland’s Back Cove area, quickly becoming a great addition to the delightful coffee scene in our little city. It took me a few months to make my way there, but now that I did I cannot wait to return soon. Hopefully by then they’ll allow indoor seating! Unfortunately this wasn’t allowed as of January 2021 due to Covid.

Parking: 5/5 . They have a huge parking lot with plenty of marked spaces.

Vibes: 5/5. The indoor area is absolutely adorable. It’s out of a magazine. Like I said above, I can’t wait to come back and just spend an afternoon indoors just doing some work or reading a book. The outdoor area is spacious as well — they have a deck with a couple of wooden tables and chairs. They also had seat heaters for the winter.

Service: 5/5. The people working here were so nice, welcoming, and just friendly. I felt at home as soon as I walked in.

Food/Coffee: 5/5. Although the prices were a bit high — I paid a little over $13 for a soup and a latte — everything was delicious. Their homemade soup was perfect during a cold winter day, and servings were generous.

The Way Coffee Should Be… Great tasting coffee served in a cozy mug, with an open atmosphere to enjoy it in.The people here are good humans, I came in here in a panic because my work nearby had no internet and I had a client in a short amount of time. When I arrived I realized I had forgotten my wallet, the neighborly staff here offered to let me put it on a ticket and come back to pay, all while reassuring me I could stay to use the WiFi as long as I needed.
