The food here is always delicious.
I get their chicken pad Thai and iced Vietnamese coffee every time. In the dish, you can somehow taste each ingredient without any overpowering the others.
I would try other items on the menu, except on my first visit I went with chicken pad thai and discovered that Sun Restaurant is my new favorite place to get that meal.
I simply haven't tried their other dishes because this first one I had was so excellent and continued to be excellent every single time I've ordered it since.
To be sure, I've gone with other folks who get other things and also end up praising the food.
Their iced Vietnamese coffee is delightful and smooth. I've also gotten to try some of their Thai tea which has a great balance of sweetness and spiciness.
Sun is kept noticeably cleaner than the previous restaurant at this address, which had (apparently falsely) claimed they cuddy get sent off the grease of the floors from the fast food chain that was at this location before them.

Read moreThe place outside looks slightly abandoned but do not let that deter you from trying the food here!! I came here for the first time the other day because my friends had recommended it to me. I was not disappointed!! It’s been hard trying to find a good bowl of pho in maine but I am so happy that I decided to give this place a chance. I got the beef pho, fresh spring rolls, and a iced thai tea. The only part I wasn’t a fan of were the fresh spring rolls. They weren’t bad but I'm just not used to the extra ingredients in their recipe (which is not their fault). The beef pho broth was so flavorful, I didn’t need to use the hoisin sauce. My only request would be a bigger portion size because of how good it was haha!! The man at the register was welcoming and attentive. My food was brought to me on a tray and the waiter was friendly. I would definitely come...

Mainly, this location serves Vietnamese fare - such as pho - but in an added twist, they also serve pastries, coffee, and breakfast foods like scrambled eggs and sausage.
The prices seem to be pretty decent. For my eggs and sausage with toast, I think I paid around $5. The food was decent and it didn't take too long to prepare. The staff was really friendly, too - and the restaurant was clean.
The only downside was that since the restaurant is new, it seems they haven't found their "flow" yet. I feel like it wasn't clear whether or not they had table service, and the employees were still learning the menu.
Still, this seems like a good alternative to mix up your breakfast routine. Will most likely check it out a few more times. So...
