2nd visit: Onion rings were some of the best I've ever had. Entire things just melted in my mouth, not a single hard or inedible onion bit, as if to say every other onion ring I've ever had was made without actually peeling the onion first. The Chickun Sando wasn't on their special board but they made it for me anyways after I asked about it, and it was delicious. First visit: Sizzling Burger with the in house black bean patty was fire. The jalapenos had a nice kick that wasn't overly spicy. Patty had a great flavor that wasn't too "meaty" and the french fries that came with the burger were so good I almost order a side of them togo. Next time for sho. I'll get the chickun sando next. I eat at Cozo Grill every week! The most delicious burgers (Impossible or black bean patty), fries, chicken sandwiches, onion rings, breakfast sandos, and sloppy joes. You wouldn't even know all the food is vegan; it's just yummy! I am allergic to gluten, and greatly appreciate that everything on the menu can be made gluten-free.

The owner, Mitch, is a rad person. He's genuinely kind and friendly, and clearly cares deeply about animal welfare. In fact, Cozo Grill donates their proceeds one day a month to an animal welfare charity.

Cozo Grill has the best vegan gluten free burgers and fries in town! I ate their new “chicken” sandwich last night and it was wildly delicious mix of crispy, tangy, creamy and fresh. It was exquisite. I had to go back for another one today. Y’all this is the best kept secret in Portland! They even have a dedicated GF fryer and make amazing onion rings and fried mushrooms, along with great fries. I’ve been a huge fan since they opened a few summers ago.
