The food was poor back then and the service too. This bar focuses on its lottery staff more than its used to be astounding food (breakfast). People always raved about brunch. My experience occurred the second half of the restaurant closed and when there was unstable turnover. It used to be a go to breakfast spot everyone raved about but it was no longer that during COVID and it never was the entire time I was there over months. I hope they got better turnover and I will have to go back to taste the food. Bartenders and cooks should be separate jobs always. I get the economy during COVID but one person cannot run a bar and mind lottery and be expected to cook. Hopefully that’s become clear post COVID panic. I saw bartenders run through there that were less than professional (unhygienic, shaky, unreliable, and slow). In one bartenders private life he was an abuser and secretive drug addict and he was let go for other reasons probably theft or something but it seems like the hiring is pretty misinformed. Bars are supposed to be mindful of safety and I know he overpoured for me often without me asking and pulled extra drinks to get me to stay around for hours. Few non lottery people came in during this time except people whom had desperate need of to-go food which took a long time to deliver to them and it was often brought back. Bring on some inclusive staff if you haven’t and make this place classy as it used to be so I can come back. Leaving a lower review since I have no gauge other than COVID struggle what this place is like. I know the food was unimpressive if you weren’t intoxicated.
Did you guys get an actual cook back? Has the atmosphere changed? I’m planning to come in on a date and see if we have a good time and rewrite my review entirely based on my authentic experience here along to the next spot we like to hop for drinks and tapas/snacks/food. I’ll be by soon with optimism! And I plan to give you five stars. Let’s get this hood in order. CBD and mocktail offerings? I used to be a cider girl but retired. I’m not certain about their tap selections but I believe they have CBD on tap. They should given the competitive offerings...
Read moreOh my gosh. How this place is in business, I have no clue. My friend and I went for drinks around 10:30 Monday night. The bartender didn't ask for ID, but he did ask if we liked vodka. Then he made us a drink that we didn't ask for. Then poured us each a shot of 100proof alcohol, that we didn't ask for. Then poured us each a shot of fireball, that we didn't ask for. There was another woman in the bar, and he poured all 3 of us a shot to take together, that we didn't ask for. We did ask for food, he said they don't have food. We asked for water, he poured us a shot glass of cider. There were chips on the counter for $1.50, so we asked to buy them. He said "I don't know where those came from, we don't sell chips." He wouldn't tell my friend the code for the restroom, instead he told her to head back and to the left. There was no bathroom on the left. Suuuuper sketchy.. he might have been...
Read moreThe food was average. The bartenders were the most miserable humans I've ever encountered. The two gals posted behind the bar, sipping their waters and rolling their eyes, were so whiny and rude that all we could do was shake our heads in disbelief. They spent more time insulting us than tending to the multiple tables around us which remained uncleaned. The fact that they served beer is the only thing saving them from zero stars. They don't give you chilled pint glasses, though, so you have to chug your beers to get it cold. It's probably for the better, however, because a strong buzz is basically the only thing that made their staff tolerable for the 15 minutes it took to shove their so-so burger and soggy fries down my throat. If this is the experience you're looking for just take a few pulls of Tortilla Tequila and hit yourself in the face with a hammer for about 10 minutes to save...
