The Grotto-Marilyn Moyer Meditation Chapel which meets with the serene pathway just completed. Following the open walkway with the bright sky above, the stone path that takes you to the entrance of this Center on top of the cliff on the hillside – we were really high up at “pieta chapel” Meditation Chapel and walked toward a large stunning Pieta with several comfortable mediation chairs. Behind the Pieta was an arched wall of frameless two-story high windows that overlooked the north east part of the city of Portland

Incredible view of the Portland area and a stunning cast/copy of Michelangelo’s Pietà, a statue of Mary holding Jesus after he was crucified. It has a helpful historical explanation about the Pietà and surprisingly comfortable chairs to take in the scenery. If you’re at the Grotto you should absolutely visit the Meditation Chapel!
