Have you been to Lauretta Jean’s yet? I always see a line out the door, so I had to see what the hype was about—and it did not disappoint! The pie is incredible, and I’ll definitely be back. Pies as far as the eye can see! If you're a fan of pies or even if you just appreciate good food, then a visit to Lauretta Jeans pie shop is an absolute must. From the moment you walk in, you'll be greeted by the warm aroma of freshly baked pies and super friendly staff that's always ready to help. The first thing that catches your eye when you enter is the sheer variety of pies available. Whether you're in the mood for a classic banana creme or a more adventurous flavor like Honey Peanut Chocolate, you'll find it here. And the best thing is that each pie is made with the freshest, highest quality ingredients, ensuring that every bite is bursting with flavor. One thing that really stood out to me about Lauretta Jeans was the attention to detail that goes into each pie. The crusts are perfectly flaky and gorgeous! and the fillings are for the most part the ideal balance of sweet and tart. I just wish the banana creme has more actual bananas! There was only three slices of banana in our slice. But the coconut lime was loaded with coconut and an epic Graham cracker crust! So It's clear that the bakers at Lauretta Jeans take pride in their work and are committed to producing the best pies possible. Another thing that I appreciated about Lauretta Jeans was the cute cozy, welcoming old school atmosphere. The shop is decorated with charming vintage touches and there's plenty of seating available inside and out, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy your pie. And if you're in a rush, you can always order your pie to go and savor it later. Overall, I can't recommend Lauretta Jeans enough. The pies are truly exceptional and the experience is one that you won't soon forget. If you're ever in Portland, be sure to stop by and treat yourself to some of the best pies around

This place is downright wonderful. How could you hate a shop that only serves up pies and treats, you may ask. Have you met Marie Calendar’s? Right, this is not that in any way, shape, or form. The pies and quiches I had there this morning were PHENOMENAL. Like out of this world good. I had the bacon, onion, swiss and broccoli cheddar quiches. The flaky and deliciously seasoned crusts were out of this world. I also had the key lime pie and a taste of the raspberry cranberry pie. Both amazing, I am a huge fan of key lime in general and deeply appreciated their crust being just the right amount of crumbly and not too sweet. The raspberry cranberry was very raspberry forward, I couldn’t really detect the cranberry but it was yum worthy all the same. I took home the cranberry key lime pie to try, just phenomenal. I’m truly running out of new adjectives to use to describe how friggen good this place is. I will return here any chance I get because not only is the food and drink top notch, the people working there are so so so kind. I really enjoyed the interactions I had with each of the people working there this morning. They were friendly, personable, and just genuine. I hope the manager figures out who I’m talking about and tells them they are amazing (with $) because those are employees you really want to keep. I didn’t get their names but I was in around 11:30am today, 2/2/23. Adore all y’all, I will be seeing you so soon!!

Man, overall I usually love this place but I had the worst experience. I leave this 1 star with the hopes that theyll notice and fix things. Pre pandemic this was THE SE Division spot hands down. Such a great neighborhood hub for us all. But while most of Portland has re opened and allowed people to sit inside and outside, these folks have still not done so. They have it all in disarray inside and to go only. It doesn't appear to be a staffing issue, as plenty of people are in there working. I saw several. There is nowhere outside for anyone older or mobility impaired or even of a larger stature to sit, and there are just a few tables. In bad weather it is a ____ show. In good weather it still is not the same ambiance. For the price of the items they should provide space. I took my pie to go last time because people were spilling off in all directions and in disarray, and I get home and the slice of pie is teeny tiny. Like I am not exaggerating, it was a small SLIVER about a third the size it normally is. For $6. Come on. Not cool. See pic with fork for reference. I really hope they improve things. I'd hate to see it stay this way, or not make it. It is time to go back to being a neighborhood hub. I wasn't even able to enjoy myself and when I came home there was not enough pie to share. Not. Freaking. Cool.

I’ve lived on Division for almost 2 years. If I ever leave the Richmond neighborhood, I’ll miss Lauretta jeans the most. I bring anyone from out of town to pick out a dessert. I bring their cinnamon rolls to brunches. My wedding cake will be from LJ’s. They have perfected the art of dessert & pastries, the flakiest crust my tastebuds have had the gift of tasting on quiches and pies alike. This cinnamon roll pictured was a spiritual experience. Doughy, moist, and a hint of nuttiness from what I think is a brown butter based icing - YUM. Sure you have to wait in a line, but the desserts are premade so the service goes quick. Also isn’t a line the mark of a great place? I’m dying at the review below that said they had to stand in the rain — damn Jackie I can’t control the weather! Also, the service is awesome and the whole team is so cheery & friendly. If you live in Portland or you’re even just visiting, do not miss out on experiencing Lauretta Jean’s. We love you guys!
