Bleh. Lobster should be cooked completely and not served translucent (unless this was a sushi restaurant) in my honest opinion anyhow.
Ordered a regular and a large lobster roll. Dressing was spread on the bun and not mixed with the meat. The lobster meat was laid over the dressing and sprinkled with chopped parsley. Disappointing flavor as in there wasn’t much.
The lobster was translucent as in undercooked. Likely it’s from frozen (which I have no quarrel with) but the packers probably under cook the lobster for a few reasons. 1 is yield. Less cooking time means the meat retains more moisture. Moisture means weight and lobster meat is purchased by the pound 2 could be they leave it undercooked so when you reheat the lobster it can stand it better rather than getting rough but lobster rolls are made with cooked lobster meat and served cold classically and this lobster was under cooked.
It was like “Lobster Snot”
Not great flavor and an unpleasant texture. Big Money. For a B grade product in my opinion.
I would avoid this place The waitress was unpleasant and...
Read moreInitially we wanted to simply grab some lobster before getting on our flight. Ordered lobster Mac and cheese and a lobster roll. In addition, ordered a coke and a glass of wine. We did not order colossal, simply the standard meal. When asked 3,6, or 9 oz of lobster, we said 6.
Much to our insane disappointment, the food took 40 minutes to come from the kitchen so we had to box it up immediately and eat it cold on the plane.
This wasn’t the surprise however. We got the bill for a lobster roll, Mac and cheese, a piece of blueberry pie, a glass of wine, and a coke.
$171 !!!!!
The menu said market price for lobster however they charged us $111.21 PER POUND.
After an entire week in Maine eating lobster daily in resort towns and high end Bar Harbor Restaurants, this was the most outrageous meal we had the entire week. At the most expensive restaurant in Bar Harbor we only paid $56 for a 1.3 lb lobster cooked and prepared lazy.
I expect a 25 to 50 percent airport increase, but not 400% mark up on market price.
I do not recommend...
Read moreThis rating has to do with the food options/service at the airport. It was 3:00 pm and Burger King was already closed. Great American Bagel was also closed. Starbucks was open but we wanted actual food. After waiting 15 minutes to be seated at Shipyard Brewing Company, we were handed a shorter menu of only prepackaged food (same as what was in the vending machines) because they didn’t have a chef. We then went to Linda Beans Lobster Cafe. It took forever to get the food. I asked for a burger and french fries and instead was given potato chips. When I asked told the waiter I asked for fries he said he’d get me some and never did. I then asked for the check and told him to forget about the fries. He told me yea we just don’t have alot of fries left….The point of the story is don’t rely on this airport if you are wanting to eat before your flight. Eat before you get there or bring snacks. $25 for a burger + potato...
