McDonald's — Restaurant in Portland

Beware fraud, always ask for receipt. I went through the drive-thru here on 07/03/23 to order breakfast for myself. When I got home and opened the bag, I realized I had somebody else's order with much more food than I ordered. Of course they didn't give me a receipt when I paid, so I checked my bank statement and realized they also charged me for someone else's order -- an overcharge of $18! I called the store repeatedly and only ever got a busy signal. It did go through once, but based on the electronic noises, it's clear that the number they have listed online and on my bank statement is a fax machine. I called McDonald's corporate, who took my report and said they would forward it to the owner. However, the owner never contacted me. Clearly this is a case of fraud. And the fact that they are totally unreachable just proves they are committed to not being held accountable for stealing from their customers. I had to finally just dispute the charge with my bank, which I won in a day, since this McDonald's location doesn't have a working phone number. Everyone who gets ripped off by this place needs to file disputes. It's the only way to stop this shady, fraudulent business from continuing to steal from people.

Go to the Jantzen beach or st. Johns location instead, or the carls junior or jack in the box across the street. See review below.

Changing my review after several disappointing visits. Today was the last straw. I asked for fresh fries, I understand if they cant or dont want to drop the fries hot for my order but dont say you will then give me luke warm fries (fries are always luke warm here for some reason). I told them I did not mind waiting. Luke warm again.

They also shorted me a sandwich, and put cheese on another for my kid who can't deal with cheese. It wasnt busy...it was Saturday 7 pm, so I dont know what the heck. This location needs to get their act together, it used to be a good one.

Prior review I am rating this as a McDonald's not vs actual restaurants. We all probably look at McDonald's as a sort of necessary evil and know what you get there. This one is pretty good as they go. It has free touchscreen games in the dining room which is cool, but better than that they have a hardworking staff that does a good job with a positive attitude. They don't mess up your order, they are fast, and they are nice. I'm not loving having to go to McDonald's but when I do I...

The meal that I have chosen to post below in my review is the second order of the value meal that I purchased at this McDonald's.

If you're a meal does not look like this then take it back without eating it and tell them that you want it made new. You may have to wait 5 to 10 minutes to get your second meal but at least it will not be slopped together the way that my first meal was put together. The meat and the bun on the top were sliding off of the bottom patty and bun.

I ate that first cheeseburger because I was hungry.

I came back and ordered the second $5 meal after explaining how poorly put together the sandwich was made. Had I not eaten that sandwich I may have been able to get the whole meal replaced without having to pay for it.

I make this post so that way you do not make the same mistake that I did when I chose to eat the cheeseburger before coming back to complain.

The first meal we ordered through the drive-thru and they did not get the sauce right. The second time I ordered the meal I had to go inside the store and the kiosk wasn't working so I had to make my payment in cash at the register.
