We came in on a Sunday, and were told that we could not order appetizers or anything besides the 6 entrees (3 veggie, 3 meat, none that I would normally order) that were pre-made in a lunch buffet style... unless it was for take away. When I asked the man why, the woman who was answering the phone interrupted and was pretty rude. As we walked out, a guy from the kitchen followed us out and said he could make us appetizers and anything we wanted, but it would be served in take out containers. He also explained that they didn't hire enough dishwashers on Sunday, so they could stay open. I understand that Sundays can be slow. Three other places we looked up were closed. I can't understand being rude to customers, and treating them like they don't understand. We eat at Indian places regularly. We drop between $60 and $150 each time. I think our check would have been worth someone washing the dishes. This was the 3rd worse Indian restaurant experience I have ever had, and I eat at Indian places all around the world. I was really hoping they would be good. Who knows, maybe they are. We didn't get past the bitter woman on the phone, at the front door. Maybe they just need to take the day off. Anyway, the small Thai place, a few doors down, made up for it by serving good versions of dishes that we wanted... on proper dishes. Thank...

So.. I used to go to the one in Hillsboro and met the owners back in 2015/2016. LOVED their food. It closed, so I was sad nd found another place. Well, today I realized this location is the same as the Hillsboro one! I was so excited! Ordered Lamb and veg samosa, saag paneer, Lamb vindaloo, chicken goa curry and garlic naan. It was absolutely nothing like it was at the Hillsboro location all those years back. I asked for spicy, nothing was AT ALL spicy. It was all actually very bland and sort of sweet. The Mango Lassi had a weird chili after taste that was not pleasant, but maybe they thought I meant spicy Mango Lassi? Cause that's the only thing that remotely tasted like chili. Don't know what happened to this restaurant over the years, but it's the most bland Indian food I have had in a long time.. And I'm not saying it was just not chili spicy. It had almost 0 spices in it. Everything was like that.. And my expectations were high based on my previous experience. I am so incredibly disappointed.. Wasted $100 in food that we won't eat because, to be frank, it sucks. I'm mad. I feel duped. I still have a hankering for Indian food because this place was so so bad. If you know what authentic Indian food tastes like, foodie beware. This...

Poor value for the money. Their website gives no prices. You can ignore any photographs of menus you see on Google, since the prices are much higher in reality. The photos must be years old.

When I ordered they kept offering me many add-ons, but I stuck with just my basic dish with rice. The bill was $17. The portions weren't particularly large, and the cooking was pretty average. I ordered medium spicy and it was bland and not very spicy, so that was also a disappointment. If it wasn't for the high prices for what you get, this would be a 3 star review.

Tip - a couple miles away downtown on 4th street there are some Indian food carts that will serve you a full meal with naan, rice and an entre for half this price.

This is the only Indian place I've ever ordered from where they felt they needed to explain to me that Naan is a type of bread. I guess they don't get many customers who are already familiar with Indian food and maybe that explains the inflated prices.

Note that as of this writing they offer take out for dinner, and only have dining...

I visited for midweek lunch. The lunch service is hot plate deli style, pre-made, served into a tin divided tray as the customer chooses from the available selections. The presentation is reminiscent of elementary cafeteria style. The staff that dished up the selected food was friendly and helpful. The restaurant furniture was basic and clean. The wall decor was haphazard, poorly hung, and thrift store/calendar page like. Looks like a 10 year old did the wall decor. The place would look better without the distracting bad wall decor. I am not sure what the "New" is regarding the restaurant's name. Nothing was new or innovative regarding this restaurant. It is quite basic. The price seemed $2 more than what I'd expect to pay for this style of lunch. The restaurant was mostly empty during my late lunch visit. The food tasted OK. This would not be my first choice, but I'd eat here again.

I'm not sure what just happened, I just wish it hadn't. Ordered tikka masala and dal makhani, and naan and what we got was not even recognizable as either dish. Both had not a single spice (not chili but spice) and were essentially just cream. The chicken in the tikka masala was HORRIBLE and were just pieces of chicken which had been cut and put in the gravy. The chicken was not only flavorless it tasted bad. The naan was just as bad but slightly more palatable. We left with a $40 bill and didn't eat the food. We are home eating again. The wait staff knew we didn't eat and seemed uncomfortable but either didn't know how to deal with the situation or the kitchen didn't care. I would never go back and would not recommend anyone does.

Mango lassi is what I was DESPERATE for after three days in bed w food poisoning. The only thing that sounded good — or even keep-down-able. The first restaurant I tried handed me a pre-fab one in a plastic bottle from a factory. It was kind of warm. I was very sad. So I came here, next closest, after calling to make sure it wasn’t bottled. They said they made it here. It’s COLD. Better. The lady at the counter was so nice (and the a.c. too!🥵) that I ordered food as well, and am enjoying the nice cool room and listening to the little kids from a huge Indian family chasing each other around the otherwise empty dining room in the midternoon sun. Ahh…here’s my food — time to go!
