Olive Garden Italian Restaurant — Restaurant in Portland

First off I wanna start by saying this is the first time that we went to Our new Portland location and the food was pretty good. Only thing is we get our salads and our soups and we start to enjoy them and then literally two minutes later our entrées come out Now we’re sitting there with ten plates in front of us, trying to finish our Salads and soups, but can’t. All I did was ask for a container of salad to go, and the waitress said that it was impossible because it’s for to go orders only Even though we couldn’t even eat any salad or barely any soup for that matter before getting our food it was just ridiculous. I couldn’t believe it. I just hope next time we can actually finish our soups and salads first before being a rushed out of the door as soon as we were finished. I explained to the waitress twice what had happened and she said sorry, but she still learning the times on when to send out the entrées...

What a wonderful dining experience we had today to celebrate my birthday! We were meeting family for lunch @ 11:15, and the waiter was very accommodating, he moved tables together at our request, and with such a polite manner! The food was not only delicious, but didn’t take a long time, and we loved that the salad dishes were freezing cold and the lunch dishes were very warm, which kept our food hot! The waiter kept coming around to refill drinks and bread, and a manager kept checking on how we were doing…this never happens @ the CC location! Tonight was our first night at Olive Garden in Portland and my mother in law had the shrimp scampi, which was amazing , perfect flavor. And I had the shrimp Alfredo with angel hair noodles with chicken and dumpling soup ! And that was delicious . My husband had a special that Santiago recommended, which I can’t remember the name of this special, but it was a fried shrimp dish, it was delicious! My husband ate the whole thing up. Our son had a pizza with grapes and noddles on the side with a smoothie ! The smoothie was perfect 👍 but our server Santiago was very attentive and helped us pick out some of our dishes and we really appreciated that. He even bagged up all of food which was very nice.
