We've come to this location several times in the past few years and have never had any issues, until last night. We have a large family and ordered about $100 worth of chicken and sides to feed everyone, drove home (which is right around the corner) served our kids food as soon as we got there and immediately realized our entire order was cold! I called and was told that they would replace my entire order but only if I could bring back the entirety of the order. I explained to the woman on the phone that that would not be possible due to the fact that we had already served our children's plates and they had tried eating at least a few bites off of them. I was then told to go ahead and come in right then and they'd replace the whole order, by then it was already close to 10 p.m. and my kids were going to bed so I asked if they could just replace it another time, I was told with extreme attitude that I either came in and got the replacement order right then or I was just out of an entire $100. I asked for a manager and was told at first the same thing by the manager, at this point I was tired of being nice and polite and started to get angry and raised my voice a bit explaining how that was terrible customer service and that I'd be contacting somebody higher than there store in regards to the matter. Once I said that I was told I would need to bring my receipt from the order whenever I came back and I could get a whole new order made and then was hung up on. I don't know if it's different people working here now or what is going on but I am very unhappy and will not be going back any time soon unless I get this issue addressed with proper attitude and better...
Read moreVisited the Portland store for the first time 04/13/2016. It was Our first time to eat at Chicken Express. We were greeted by a cold staring and non-responsive cashier, register# 2, 3:45 P.M. with soiled clothes and NO positive attitude, or should I say NO attitude at all. I asked her if I could see one of the wings. She refused and told me she was a cashier. Veronica, a lady working on the line came out and greeted us with a pleasant personality and HUGE smile. She explained the menu to us, showed me a wing, and help us with our order. Vanessa, the manager was very nice and helpful too. The cashier was very unfriendly, non-responsive, and needed to clean herself and her clothes up. The food was GREAT! Veronica and Vanessa were wonderful. The COLD staring and unhelpful cashier should be cleaned up, trained to be helpful and engaging to the customers. In other words, needs a positive personality and a smile wouldn't hurt for us that buy the food and pay her salary. If it weren't for the terrible cashier I would have rated this restaurant a 5 star experience! Thank you, Veronica and Vanessa for saving the Chicken...
Read moreLady at drive threw didn’t even greet nor say thank you handed me my food with box all torn apart remind you I have to drive 10 minutes to get to this place … she hands me my drink and change and I drive off I get home sit down fixing to enjoy my food lol nope open the box and all my food was old and dried up didn’t touch it was so mad drove another 10 minutes back to return my food when I got there. I forgot my drink at home. Told the lady if I could have a refund, she said in order to get a refund I needed my drink. Left the food there drove 10 minutes back home got the drink. Made sure to look for the straw. I didn’t want anything missing drove 10 minutes back handed her the drink and the straw and she gave me my refund really really bad. Poor service would expect for her to say I’ll charge you for the drink since it’s not here they need new managers and they need to remember old chicken needs to get thrown out people remember chicken can only sit out so long then has to get tossed oh and my rolls where so hard lol won’t be going back stay away or make sure you check your food always before...
