I ordered Thai food because I was really craving yellow curry. My friend had told me this place was good and their prices matched their portions and flavor. I placed a take out order, yellow chicken curry, medium spice level with sticky rice.

I got home opened the bag and noticed that my sticky rice was really only enough for one person. They upcharged $2 for sticky rice when it was the size of my palm. Most places give you jasmine rice automatically and give you a side of sticky rice with an extra charge. This place does not.

Already upset I opened the curry, maybe if the curry was excellent it would've made up for the small portion size of the sticky rice. Boy was I disappointed. Curry was bland, not a lot of chicken, and it was more like I ordered soup that was flavored curry, not a thick creamy curry that I was supposed to eat with rice.

Never ever going back here again. Don't recommend. It's a shame that this place serves curry at all.

The parking lot was the best part of this experience. Really great, cause I know Portland can be hard to find...

The Portland metro area has enough Thai restaurants that it can be difficult to get excited about one particular place. Once you have found a place you like, trying some place new feels like old school biblical adultery. Thai Pad kitchen is a Home Wrecker! This full figured Belmont Harlot is divine, she is a no frills lady with flavor that is warm, inviting and straight to the point. With a group of Eight we were able to sample a broad selection of the menu including the special "yellow curry lamb" Did I mention the yellow curry lamb, or were we talking about the red curry duck? Never mind it doesn't matter everything was great. The only dish that initially fell short was the sweet basil fried rice. Initially you ask, that's right, the next day the sweet basil rice straight from the microwave was impossibly Good. In for a penny in for a pound, the sweet sticky rice (mango is not in season) was comfort food dessert bliss. If you stray from you Thai home, Thai pad kitchen is working hard to steal you...

9pm on a Saturday night scanning the streets for a restaurant that will still serve something delicious. From the car I can see an older man sitting in the restaurant with the light still on. I thought I would give it a shot.

After knocking on the front door the owner comes running at me. I was expecting that she would tell me that the restaurant was closed as it was already late. Instead she smiled at me asking me what she could do for me.

I told her that the smell in the restaurant makes me craving for her delicious food. At this point all the owners came to the front door with a huge smile, handing over a white box with food. I was stunned cause I did not order anything yet, but they told me I could have it. I tried to refuse it, but the owners really wanted me to have it. Stunned by their kindness I walked back to my car. It was the best dinner I could have wished for that night.

I am definitely coming back for more! (during operating...

02/15/19: 4.75 out of 5 - This was a suggestion from a friend and runner from my Saturday Run Group. So, we decided to check out Pad Thai Kitchen for after my Wednesday Run Group. The restaurant was actually easy to find but with little parking available. The interior has a cozy ambiance about it. The decor has some resemblance to Thai culture. Also, there are outdoor tables for those who likes to be in the elements. The staff at Pad Thai Kitchen are kind and very attentive without being intrusive. This place does make very good Thai food with the exception of not enough heat, but understandably, they do cook and serve the demographic. My only gripe about the place is that the bathroom can be better kept. If they kept it more clean and do something about the tag marks. Regardless, Pad Thai Kitchen still is a great place with very tasty food. Definitely worth a try and decide for yourself. Enjoy!
