This post shows in my husband's name for some reason but the incident was mine. Steve Shoenfeld is who I was referred to. When I went for the initial apt I met with Karen. I am so dissapointed in my settlement. I didn't want to take it but she whined and said "Well if you didn't live in Washington County we could go to court but they don't look favorably on these kinds of cases. You could end up with more or you could end up with a lot less. In my opinion she was done and wasn't going to put much more effort in my case. She sent an initial settlement letter to the insurance company demanding $250,000. Then she calls and acts like she wants to settle for $8500. What a joke. I would be embarrassed to send out that big a demand letter and then want to accept so little. I got a little more than the initial offer but not what I expected or should have gotten. I knew then I was in trouble and was not going to get what I needed to cover my on going medical bills. She suggested that I check with other attorney's to see if I should accept that offer. Since she had already started the process and sent the demand letter the other attorney's I called were just not interested in getting in the middle of it. I have never had a lawsuit before and hope I never have to go thru this again. If I do I will certainly not call...
Read moreHire them! They WILL help you! You can trust them! Spencer and his team are truly amazing. I was struggling through the workers’ compensation process and failing miserably. My claim was denied after a year of waiting. Out of work, with minimal medical treatment, I was still badly hurt- basically stuck in a chair- horribly depressed and completely overwhelmed. I couldn’t believe this could happen to me. I was a strong, active, workaholic before I hurt my back. But at that point, I was a shell. It was one of the lowest points of my life. I was reluctant to seek legal help because I was broke, exhausted, and at my wits end. I just wanted to give up. I didn’t know who to trust. Calling Schoenfeld & Schoenfeld was the best decision I could have made! I was so relieved after just my first meeting with Spencer. He stuck to his word and took care of everything for me. He is one of the kindest people I’ve ever encountered. I am so grateful for all the help and support he and his office have given me. They really care!!! It’s finally over and they were able to win a settlement amount far greater than anything I could have even let myself hope for. These wonderful people got me my life back. Honestly, I’m not exaggerating. I can’t recommend them highly enough. Please let them help you. You don’t have to go...
Read moreKaren represented both my mother and I on a car accident claim. She has a habit of forcing her clients to take low settle amounts as long as she gets her cut. When we told her that we wanted to go to court, she said that we would have to pay her $8,000, this was not stated in he fee agreement. She is not a very honest or ethical person. She said that she couldn't fight to get us more money, but once we no longer had her as an attorney, we were offered nearly $1000 more from the insurance adjuster. And we also got in contact with one of her previous clients. Looks like she also has a habit of exploiting non-English speakers. This client in question calculated her percentage and realized that she had charged him a lot more than she was suppose to. When he brought it to her attention, of course she denied it. And when he threatened to report her to the Oregon State board. She folded. And gave him an additional $3,000. She's not a good person. And should definitely not be practicing with unethical practices...
